Peggy funeral could of been more dedicating at the church scenes.

Awful because of Gavin Sullivan and boring Andrew "Buster" Briggs.
Sam Mitchell left to quickly and Grant Mitchells appearance was boring (Simon Wicks visiting Pat Evans was way more effective.) Waiting so long for Fridays episode was annoying. |

But didn't you know that Gavin would make Archie look like a care bear?

Some of the worst scenes in the shows history.

I don't like to be automatically negative but I was very underwhelmed by Peggy's funeral, some of the Sam scenes were good, but overall it was one of the more forgettable funerals.
The Gavin/Sharon plot dragged the week into the gutter - pure farce. |

A brilliant week. At times it felt like we were watching a particularly tense Scorsese movie: The backdrop of the beautiful old mansion that was a 100% believable place for Gavin, a wanted man in the eyes of the law, to have bought for £100,000. The performances-of-a-lifetime from Taylforth and Nicholas. The absolute desperation of the scene where Kathy and Margaret were flummoxed by a glass door. The inspired dialogue from EE's best ever villain Gavin. The amazing twist that nobody saw coming of the woman falling out of the window turning out to be Margaret and not Kathy. Gavin clinging onto the side of the balcony planning his next brilliant move. The passionate and moving love affair between Kathy and Poor Man's Phil Mitchell.
Seriously, what a week for DTC to bow out on. SOC is going to have a hard time following up that tour-de-force. Good luck, buddy. |
