Football Betting 2016/17 Season
Hi everyone as promised I thought yesterday being a good place to end the previous thread.
The new season is effectively underway already with European qualifiers 2nd round this week. There is also the Scottish league cup starting this week in the form of a group stage. Still plenty of time for teams to win the league top scorer bets etc. So good luck again everyone and I am sure this thread will do as well as last seasons |

I have to say I think Leicester are good value at a best priced 30/1 for next year, assuming Mahrez and Kante both stick around,

Lincoln red imps might encourage a few people never to bet again I think they were 25/1 in places might be one of the biggest singles ever

Wow can't believe I have won on a coupon already in this "new" season
Brondby 11/10 v Hibs Birkakana +1 10/11 v Hearts Pa's Gianini 2/1 v a norweigan team Zaglebi 7/5 +1 v Partizan Belgrade If anyone is looking for a betting angle on these unknown teams if the country coefficient is more than five points of a difference the higher ranked country team nearly always wins. Bottom two were a Greek team v a norweigan team A polish team v a Serbian team 86 quid for 3 quid hope that makes sense the theory above |

That's one of those "Leicester" type bets where you only really punt if you have a few quid spare - they were 25/1 for a reason i suppose but then look what happened.
I won't go with Kane this time as I suspect a bit of a hangover from the euros initially but not sure who to go with |

![]() Waiting to see if they keep Kante before I punt on them to win anything again. E/W 50/1 on them to win the CL looks tempting.... probably get good odds on them to just make the knock-out stages as well... Quote:
Yes soon be time to start picking teams to win leagues etc and top scorer again.

I guess now all the fuss has died down I can divulge I was one of those that got lucky with Leciester by punting on them E/W fairly early on in the season. Made posts about the bet about halfway in last season's thread. Didn't get them at 5000/1, though, I can tell you that

Rash is probably the only England player to return on a high and Martial was barely used at the Euro's. Will have a look at other forwards not on duty during the summer.... Will punt on United and Chelsea to win the title. Think City and Pep might flop. Outside bet on Everton now they've got Koeman. |

Paddy are still taking bets on the next England manager. Sam Allardyce is 8/13 odds on, what does everyone think, is it worth a bet?
Still kicking myself that I didn't put a bet on the next prime minister, although she was odds on at the time, it was almost certain she would get it. Is it the same for big Sam? http://www.paddypower.com/bet/football-specials/manager-specials/Next-Permanent-England-Manager-4984795.html |

I've probably gone too early & should wait to see what transfers happen, but I've done my accumulator for the coming season.
Manchester United 7/2 Norwich 9/1 Sheffield United 6/1 Luton 10/1 My £1 would get me £3465. |

Quite a disparity on the odds for Kelecnni Iheanacho to be top PL scorer
40/1 with Paddy and Betway 33/1 with Hills and Bet365 20/1 with SJ Was impressed with him in the 2nd half of last season and City are likely to be one of the higher scoring teams At those odds will be doing him with Paddy and hopefully they have their freebet offer on each goal scored as well |

I will have to go and have a look for that I am sure they were still about 250/1 when they played United last November

Erm.... I don't think I'm the man to ask!
The Leciester bet was a complete punt and apart from a couple of E/W goalscorers, I completely tanked at the Euros. Now that Chelsea have Conte and Kante I definitely think I'll be putting money there. Will have a proper look this week and list the main bets next weekend or so.Does anyone know of any top scorer/free bet offers like last season? |

I wish! I got them @ 100/1, page 9 of the old thread. I said a few pennies but it was £4.00 E/W. Because it was an E/W bet I couldn't cash out and TBH I would have done miles before the end of the season if I'd been able

Suspect Stan James might do a variation on it as well |

Probably a bit excessive, but I was bored and it was Sunday - and it was only ever with profit, so i wasn't going to lose anything
![]() Since last night, 28 bets on 365.. 18 wins. Literally started with £2.50 late last night and just requested a withdrawal for £212.17 .. not too shabby

Nice one..... When the fun stops.. Stop!
I had a bet on over 13 corners on an MLS game last night and it was only sitting at 11 corners on about 82 minutes. I got corner number 14 in literally the 4th minute of injury time and i went mad. That probably should have been the real time to walk

When I first started betting I did something similar. I'd put bets on a team to get a late winner. Didn't always win, of course!
I was young and new to the game.

I only did a couple of "next goals" actually. Probably 95% was all about number of corners. The annoying ones are when you do over X amount, and it stays on exactly X amount instead.
