I do my regular what I believe to be reasonable favourites every week maybe six or seven teams but I also do a line each week of 15-18 teams adding longer odds and whilst I don't often win on these long bets, I have been extremely frustrated in the last couple of weeks where I got the difficult ones right and let down by really strange results from my bankers.
Three weeks ago I got 16 out of 18 right which included Sunderland to draw with West Brom, Liverpool to beat Swansea away, West Ham to draw with Middlesborough, Atletico to beat Valencia away and the teams that let me down. Basel playing Thun at home. Basel had won 9 straight league games Thun had won just one. it ended in a draw. Bayern drew against Koln at home and I followed this live on betfair. Bayern had 25 shots to 5 from Koln, hit the woodwork three times and then in the highlights I saw an unbelievable save from the Koln keeper from Muller, it was shown three times on BT Sport, it was that ridiculous. A couple of weeks before I had one wrong from 12 and it was Hibs who were leading Ayr 1-0 and hit the woodwork twice, Ayr hardly made any impression and then Hibs got a player sent off lost 2-1. Can anyone explain last week Queen of the South getting beat 5-0 at home from Morton? again I ended with 16 out of 18 with Shaktar the other one letting me down. I never really expect to get these lines up, I managed it once and got £2200 for a £1 line, I've also had quite a number of free bets as you do when only losing one, two or three games with the accu bet. It just really sucks when all the difficult ones come up and then a team who has won 9 straight games plays the bottom team at home who have only won once and draw. Having said that, I've noticed that Coral's (who i normally do most of my multiple bets with) no longer allow me to cash out my acca's or similar bets, which stinks. I wonder if the other big boys will follow suit... Quote:
The goals just sneaked over the line but the other 2 were well short

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I checked my account and I haven't got the free bet. I think we both forgot the goals were actually 12+ ![]() ![]() I used it last night on the Utd game (and won- Utd to win and 4 or goals in the match at 16/5 )(It wasn't showing in the balance, but when placing the bet the 'use your free bet' option came up) |

That is bad luck but do you lay these acca's with a firm that lets you cash out? It can be tempting to let the bet run if you're on for a big winner but bearing in mind how rare the wins are cash out is often the best policy.
I use Betfair and Corals. Betfair allows you to cash out even with acca's but I have noticed from time to time that Corals sometime does and sometime doesn't. Betfair can be just as frustrating for example I had a stab at the under/over goals and for some reason cash out doesn't feature everytime. Last night I selected the 11 teams with early kick offs in the Europa League and immediately saw them under the cash out so I could follow them. by half time 8 teams had won and I was left with 3 then for some reason cash out was suspended for around 10 minutes in the second half so you couldn't make a decision. It didn't matter really because the others won comfortably. On the second batch of games kicking off at 8pm 10 of my teams had won and I was left with Man Utd which I had chose less than 4.5 goals in the game. 4-0 up just after halftime I had given up but with 20 minutes to go I checked the odds for over 4.5 goals and the odds were 2.6. I thought there was no chance of it remaining at 4-0 and by taking the bet I was guaranteed a profit either way. 10 minutes later my cash out on my original bet went up even though time was running out so I cashed out let the other one run then Persie scored and I made a profit. Why Betfair gave such generous odds of 2.6 with 20 minutes to go and only one goal needed was baffling. It was a win win. One thing that crops up all the time is if a team is leading with maybe 5 minutes left sometimes if it isn't a fancied team you get silly odds by backing them for a draw. On a line earlier in the season I had 5 of my 6 teams comfortably winning but one only winning 1-0 and with ten minutes to go I checked the soccer 24 site and checked the stats for what was happening in the match and the team that was losing had more possession, more shots on goal, more shots on target. If my sixth team saw the game out I would win £54. the odds for a draw on that game went up to 38.0. I stuck £2 on and thought well if they don't score I've got £54 if they do I was likely to get a cash out of around £30. 2 minutes to go and an equaliser and suddenly my cash out was £71. I took it so it just goes to show sometimes you get crazy odds. Since then I always check if I have a losing team in my line and if the odds are attractive on one of the teams who are losing only just, I try to cover my original bet. Mind you I couldn't cash out last week when Morton went 3-0 up after 30 minutes. Still cannot get to grips with that result. I don't know if anyone on here uses soccer24.com but there stats are really good giving you everything, home, away, head to head, form, goals even the goals under/over is great for choosing goal bets. Bloody United, I got 23 out of 24 last night when did Mourinho decide to take last night's game seriously? MInd you two stupid penalties didn't help. |

Pays around 17/1..... |

Got this email from Paddy power
As we all know, there's nothing worse than a late sucker punch. Your team is sitting pretty on the hour mark and all that dedicated research (or your morning dump epiphany) looks like paying off, and then it's all ruined by a jammy late goal. Well we've a new offer that'll soften the blow, by giving you a whopping 30 minutes of insurance! Back a team to win and get a free bet if they lead at the 60 minute mark but fail to win! It applies to all TV games this weekend; Bournemouth v Spurs, Liverpool v West Brom, Man City v Southampton and Chelsea v Man United. Worth it if you are backing any of these in singles I would have thought |

I've had a losing run so was going to give it a miss but I cracked about 20 minutes in to the matches and did Stoke to win in play at 6/4........fortunately that was just before Stoke scored !........
![]() I still had the In Play odds up on Stan James and it was a good 20 or 30 seconds after the goal (listening to radio 5) that the odds changed....... Has anyone ever tried to pull a fast one and back a team that have just scored before the website odds change ?.......I wonder if they would accept the bet....... |

![]() How is everyone's teams to win the leagues doing, it's normally just a bit of fun for me but over two months in it's doing ok Chelsea about to be 4th Brighton 2nd Plymouth 1st Dundee United 2nd Still early days but almost 12 grand next may for £2.50 would be a nice bonus ![]() This season I reverted back to having the same 3 bankers in my two six fold lines and 3 different strong favourites in two of them and combining them in a third line ninefold. The three bankers just effectively double the stake. This is the third week running a banker has let me down. Basel was the worst winning 9 straight games playing at home against Thun who had lost 8 out of 9 games they drew. This week Sturm Graz top winning all their home games comfortably drew against bottom club who had lost all their away games. You just can't bank on a banker. I seem to be picking good draws more consistently than bankers. Three last week in the Premier League and 3 out of four this week but for the 94th minute West Ham goal it would have been 7 out of 7. Might drop my long odds line and do 4 draw trebles instead. |

I thought Saturday was bad when Sturm Graz lost a goal with the last kick off the game, I went one better last night with Rijeka 3-0 up after 53 minutes then giving away 3 penalties and drawing 3-3, they won 5-3 in extra time not good enough to destroy my line where I had 19 out of 20 just getting my £2 stake back instead of £172.30.

Just noticed that Mike Dean is reffereeing the Brum/Villa Derby
You can get 11/2 about there being a penalty in the 2nd half Got to be worth an interest |

Just done a half stake on W Ham at 14/5.........I was tempted before the game when they were 7/2 but after the first 10 minutes they look well on top so 14/5 is still good odds
but not confident enough to put a full stake on it...........
