I have changed from soccerway to soccer24.com this season to get all my form and selections choosing teams from almost every league. I like the way they show form, home, away and goals under/over, head to head against each other and I am getting a higher percentage right than I did last season. Last week I had 82 teams and got 79 right. Didn't help me as my midweek line I only got 19 out of 20, I was let down by an Estonian team 3-0 up after 53 minutes drawing 3-3. On Saturday another 19 out of 20 with Dotmund letting me down.

What does everyone use? Do they stick to the leagues they know or do they look at leagues around the world? Do they have a gut instinct on outcomes? Do they do a banker selection and then mix it up with longer odds such as draws and aways?

I'm a bit boring.......I just stick to the Premier League and go by 'feel' rather than in depth study

I look out for teams that are improving...........just had two wins on Stoke for example in their last 2 games.

I also check the team news before selecting..

that's about it really......

I always did three separate lines of 6 or 7 and then combined them as 18-21 and just did a £1 on that line. I also do another line like as you have described and go by feel and if a team is showing improvement and I have a gut feeling for a draw or even an away win. The last couple of weeks I have picked a few draws and have chosen 3 and did 3 doubles and a treble, I've got my money back or doubled and one week got all three draws and had a good return.

The only reason I do as many what I call bankers is by choosing 5-7 it can double or treble your stake money for others on your list. I had a friend who said choose 7 teams at 1/10 and you will double your money. I said it was difficult to find seven bankers but he said look at all the leagues. So now I do as probably most do do a main line on domestic or teams you know from the main leagues. But it is a bit of fun looking through all the other leagues and trying to do a big line. Very frustrating when one out of 20 lets you down though but it's only a side bet so nothing to worry about if it comes up it comes up.

Gone for Copenhagen to beat Leicester at 7/5

Thought Leicester were a bit lucky to beat them at the Kingpower a couple of weeks ago and can see the Danes reversing the result on their home patch

To be fair though, Leicester look like they're beginning to get their act together in the last couple of games

Does anyone have any experience with WinDrawWin? I know WhoScored is a popular site for stats, and I love it, too. But I've been linked to this recently, from an acca tipster I quite like. Don't worry, he's not one of those scammers who get paid by Bet365 every time you lose. He doesn't stick to a particular bookmaker. On his site he writes articles and provides some tips and information around betting.

He listed this as one of the tools he uses. It's good for BTTS bets, because it actually tells you how many times a team has had games in which both teams score. And that's just one example, but it was an article about BTTS and Win bets that he mentioned it.

I've only just started using it. I don't have any experience with it, and I've never had much experience of researching for bets. Obviously I do some research, and if I do a bet I'll often have a reason for it, but most of my research is just based on form, and maybe goals scored and goals conceded.

If anyone's used it, how have you utilised it? Has it given you any returns?

I've not been winning bets lately, so could do with a good win. Part of the reason I've decided to try making more educated decisions. One of my picks (not selected because of this site) is Liverpool to win (at home to Watford) and both teams to score. Liverpool's only clean sheet this season (in the league) is the 0-0 against Man United. I bet this is the one time we actually win with a clean sheet.

Let me know if you have any luck with this.

Gone for Burnley to beat Palace at 12/5 Stan James

Burnley are pretty solid at home and got a good draw at Old Trafford last time..............Palace are in a bit of a slump

Don't like to bet against my own team (Bury) but they are rubbish at the moment having been 2nd in League One a few weeks ago they've lost, I think, 8 on the trot including at home to today's cup opponents, Wimbledon, only a couple of weeks ago

Yet you can back Wimbledon to win at 15/8 with Stan James

My son won £357 by Sunderland winning from a £20 bet. It was cashed out so he didn't get the £380 he'd have had if he held his nerve.

Let me know if you have any luck with this.
I use soccer24.com http://www.soccer24.com/ It gives all the usual tables, form, goals under/over and the head to head between the two teams. It also gives a breakdown of 5, 10 or 15 recent games. At a glance you can probably pick the teams quite easily but I kept getting solid bankers wrong and it wasn't until I looked at the head to head history of the two teams and one tip is to look at the teams a team may be winning games against. Example is that form over the last 5 games may show a bottom half team drawing or winning a game but then it could be that those draws or wins were against lower teams. So it's best to look at the teams they are picking up results.

Mark you, there are some incredibly ridiculous results that let you down and it is only when you watch back the highlights that it frustrates you even more. I'm on a ridiculous run of bad luck over the last 4 weeks I have had 23/24 - 19/20 - 19/20 - 19/20 and yesterday 18-19. On the first Basel had won 9 straight games in the league drew against Thun who had lost 8 straight games. The following week Sturm Graz lost a goal with the last kick of the game in the 95th minute, the worst was last week Reika 3-0 up after 53 minutes gave away 3 penalties drew 3-3 won 5-3 in extra time and yesterday Burnley scored in the 4th minute of injury time. I expect my harder selections to let me down but Basel, Sturm Graz and losing goals in injury time just sucks.

Some may question why I choose so many and maybe should stick to 6 or 7 teams. I actually do that and these are usually combination lines ie 3 lines of 6, 7 or 8 then doing a combined line. My fault has been including my top 3 bankers in each line. The other reason is that I use 6 or 7 short odds is they double or treble my stake. This is a good idea for the goals under/over. 7 times 1/10 doubles your money. 7 times 2-3/10 gives you odds of 6/1 and you can use this for a line that you fancy 2, 3, 4 draws or aways. I can't afford to put a fiver on every line. Using soccer24.com is best for me. A tip for goals under/over is look at the team scores ie they may have scored 6 goals in one game which skews their overall total. I look at average goals and discount a high score and then look at how many the team they are playing against loses.

Another fiver on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score against Swansea- he didn't against Fenerbache so I'm hoping he'll break his 8 game goalless run today. He's EVENS to score against Swansea with Ladbrokes.

I guess, like many others, lots of acca's have been scuppered this weekend.

Would have got long odds on Burnley, Sunderland and Hull all winning

Just got this in my message box on Hills:

Hello,
If you go to your William Hill account you will find a £50 free bet waiting.

We want to give you this following a tough week that saw our website and products targeted by a well-documented DDOS attack. During this period we were not able to offer you the level of service we pride ourselves upon.

Anyone else get this ?

It would be nice if teams who were meant to lose would, y'know, lose.

Know your place, Sunderland!

Following on from my WinDrawWin thing, yesterday I had a 7-fold, partly based on that site, and 3 of them lost (Bournemouth, Stoke and Burnley).

Today I have a treble, Roma (vs Bologna), RB Leipzig (vs Mainz), and Nice (away to Caen). So far, RB Leipzig has won. The other two are later, and look like good picks. £25 stake to return about £120.

Nothing crazy, not going for the big 20-fold win, just a treble with three favourites, based on stats and predictions. I never looked at head-to-heads, or injury/team news, which I could have done.

So, yesterday, Sunderland got their first win, contributing to me losing the 7-fold acca.

Today, Caen beat Nice. Nice get their first Ligue 1 defeat, making me lose my treble. The other two fixtures won.

What's best online for football betting? I have only used betfair and Corals

Betfair restrict how many days in advance you can make your selections.

Corals have selections sometimes up to 2-3 weeks in advance helps long lines.

Corals goals under/over isn't as good as Betfair.

Cash out view is very good on betfair because you can open up match view individually.

I only get the option to cash out on coral and open up teams in separate windows.

Has anyone taken advantage of the online new account offers and used their Free Bets successfully within the time period allowed?

You may have seen some tipsters do these challenges, £10 - £1k challenges and the like. Most of them are scams, since they get paid when you lose. You can usually spot the scams when they're affiliated with a particular bookmaker, and they're always mentioning a signup bonus with that particular bookmaker. They hardly ever complete their challenges. I've been fooled by one after a friend said he won a grand in a week.

So, using WinDrawWin, I decided to try my own. I thought it'd be a good way to learn how to bet based on research from this website. I started out with £10, I've now won my second bet, putting me on £31. So far, so good!

I wanna see if I can do a £10 - £1k challenge of my own. If I lose, it'll be down to me. When a tipster directs you to a bet, usually an in-play bet, they never say why you should take up this bet, you don't know what research went into it. You just think they've won lots of bets (apparently) so just go with it. With this I feel safer, and more responsible. I say £10 - £1k, but I think I'll just do 10 bets (if I succeed), and take whatever that is. Though I'm banking my original bet, so that I've not lost if I fail.

So far I'm only doing to win bets. I did do a double, £10 returning £21 on an over 1.5 game and over 2.5 game. The over 1.5 game came through for me with a penalty at the end.

It was with £10 of that money that I've started the challenge, saving the other winnings in case I need to start again. If that treble won, winning me £120, I might have been braver and started at £25. I'd be up to, or near, £100 by now.

Dundee United was my bet today. I should note my bets down...

I'd mention what I'm doing here, but I'd rather not be responsible for other people losing. You're better off not following a noob.
