I've been with BT for over 20 years, both landline and internet and have always been happy with the internet service I receive.
For a long, long time I was paying about £25 per month for internet along with the line rental and call package on top.
A few years ago, I happened to notice their fantastic offers for new customers. I knew I wouldn't be able to get the same deal but I called them anyway to see if I could get any discount.
They told me that the package that I was on didn't even exist any more and that they could certainly give me a better deal, which they did. It reduced my overall monthly cost by about £15 and gave me an unlimited broadband deal.
However, I still have to remember to phone up every year and renew the 12 month contract because if I don't, they put me back on to the old deal (that doesn't exist anymore) and I end up paying over the odds until, usually when I receive the first bill at the old rate, I remember to ring up and renew it.
Does any one else have this problem?
