And the next stop is...*Bristol deliberating*

Paxo was really impatient with them and I thought he was about to DQ them for wasting time.

Bristol were a good team as everyone contributed but hey they needed to be QUICK.
BTW Miss Clarke looked so attractive when she scowled, but it wouldn't hurt if she tried to smile more

Poor Oriel. They never had the chance.

---

I stumbled upon this when I read an article about the Bristol team this year - in case you still didn't know (it was about a contestant of 15-16) :

http://metro.co.uk/2016/05/27/univer...-rape-5908596/

wowzer.
Blimey!

People need to read that link.

Innocent until proven guilty and all that, but I think we all like to think we could spot a wrong-un a mile off. He seemed so nice (but I suppose that is precisely why people get away with things)

If it had been closer then I think that Oriel would have been within their rights to ask for a rematch as Bristol's time-wasting (and there's no point in JP telling them to hurry up if a] they ignore him and b] he doesn't do anything to enforce his warnings) could prevent Oriel from catching up.

Is that some sort of shorthand for disqualify?

Alice Clarke has the perfect example of a resting bitch face.
She looked like she'd rather have been anywhere else but there. And almost rolling her eyes when she got a question right, as if to say 'That was easy'. No congratulating her fellow teammates when they got a question right, I wanted to slap her face. Personality of a soggy paper bag.

Their unhurried deliberation was extremely irritating as was Clarke's air of disdain...not the most useful attribute in a medic, I'd have thought.

As for Joly de Lotbiniere, I agree...he looks as pure as the driven, but we should wait until the trial.

Back in July she was accused of 'sexual chemistry'

If only she'd smile a bit more, and get rid of the 'whatevvs' expression.

Bristol really wiped the floor with Oriel last night, didn't they?

Their captain, Clarke, is a medical student which made me think that somewhere along the line she'll need a couple of lessons in bedside manner ... a smile from time to time can make all the difference if you're not feeling so good! Having said that, she was a really bright and attractive young lady, unsullied as she was by a palate load of make-up, just really nice and natural looking.

One other point .. don't the floor managers or directors tell the contestants that there is absolutely no need for them to lean forward to speak into the microphone - it will pick up your every word, even when you relax and sit back in your chair?

I agree with you. She was very charming, and a bit of sultry does no harm. I'd have her as my GP any day!

Well, he's blessed with good skin.

Mind you, I was desperately hoping for a bonus round about Rasputin and the Tsarina.

That's a rather gross assumption, isn't it? I'm sure there are plenty of women thinking exactly the same thing (pending the results of enquiry into sexual orientation)!

Something I learnt from UC this week is that I love that Mendelssohn's Concerto.
any comments on the males looks?
The guy on Clarke's left is VERY dorkily cute. Hello Mr. Tomsett.
