I know a business out in the sticks and can only get 4MB download speed through ADSL
and nothing upload speed wise not sure if FTTC is available at that location

They can have whatever they want if they're prepared to pay for it. Leased lines are generally expensive but BT and others will install those anywhere you want, for a price, without regard to what is already available (even an area that can't get ADSL can have a leased line if the customer is prepared to pay the likely huge installation costs)

The availability of FTTC or existing FTTP just makes it a lot cheaper for a residential or small business user to get what they need.

That's incorrect, there is a 300MB service in limited areas, but you need to have the 200MB package and then add a £13.99/month add-on called 'Homeworks+' to get it.

It ends up costing around £65/month.

I used to get 10 with BT, now getting 7 with current provider, BT have been the quickest for me, shame their customer service is so abominable.

Was getting 30 - 32 on a 38 connection.

Recently upgraded to "up to 52" but speed stubbornly remained at 30 - 32.

Engineer came round this morning, now getting 51.6 on a 52 connection. Happy with that.

I'm on infinity 1, was getting speeds of 38Mbps a few years ago when I first got it.
Over the years it has dropped to around 30 - 32mbps, I put that down to congestion .
About three weeks ago I ran a speed test and noticed my speed had increased to around 43mbps but lately it has become unstable and kept dropping out completely. It is now at around 32mbps again..

Mind you, even that's a bargain. Many years ago I remember paying £10,000/year for a 9.6kbit/s leased line between Belfast and London, and we thought that was fast

Far too many small businesses these days think they can run their business on a £30/month domestic service, and then get upset when they have performance or service issues.

Restaurants wouldn't try to run their kitchens on domestic cookers or dishwashers, and haulage companies don't use cheap Chinese vans, they know they would be false economies. Why do companies that need a network think they can get away with cheap systems?

ranges anywhere from 20Mbps to 50Mbps. Used to get a very steady 36Mbps before they upgraded to me 52.
