Who knows?”

Very well put imo

Another thing I have an issue with is that it wasn't good TV. There was no drama or edge of the seat viewing. It was boring. It was obvious they were going to kick an annoying person out, which is not good for the viewer. Why would an producer think this was a good idea.

If the producers wanted to do this ridiculous process were they public don't get to vote they should have used it as an opportunity to kick out the boring ones (Alex for example!).

I don't blame the show for this. Their usual series length has been shortened and they had to come up with a way to dump about 9 housemates quickly. Also it's not even close to being the worst thing that's happened on this show, what short memories people have.

I have a feeling things will be changing next year. First of all Rylan to present the main show!

Alex's friend said the length was known to insiders around two weeks into the show (if not by us, but who cares about the viewers huh?).

Bib - please feel free to elaborate a bit further there, all thoughts are welcome

I'd actually.stop watching cold turkey if Rylan started presenting the main show his voice
is insufferable, and his whole camp humour routine has been done before. Can you believe Channel 5 gave him his OWN talk show.

I put possibly, it's up there.

In terms of what they've done to BB it is the lowest they've sunk so I almost put yes.

But there have been other shitty things they've done that are up there with it.

* Putting Shabaz in. And letting that continue as long as they did.

* Instead of punishing Connor they rewarded him with a chunk of the prize fund.

* Didn't watch but I'm led to believe that Helen was a horror so giving her licence to be a horror right to the end was pretty awful.

* I haven't watched recent CBBs but judging by the glut of incontinent Geordie Shore-ers and the ilk they have in there I would guess they got pretty darn low at times.

Give Helen the final pass and 4 going out so early last year was a lot worse !

Letting Conor walk away with the 50k was bad! But I hate that they are allowing the clique decide who goes, the public has always voted out the person they want.... That was the big brother tag line ' you decide! ' why are the housemates allowed to decide, that's just ruining the whole show 😡

All good points so far, thanks guys and gals

I think the message is clear to BB but if not I'm sure we can hammer it home a bit more with our votes and comments

Helen getting a pass to the final was a random thing so I don't have a problem with that. However, she should have been removed from the house for bullying in THAT year.

I don't think it was, seeing as she was only there for Rooney publicity and it was world cup season - loads of publicity for BB (shame for them England went out so early!).

When Pauline gave her the pass she very suspiciously (imo) started off saying something like 'you're not going to like this but...'. About a lass she'd only spoken to a few times by that point and supposedly had no idea of who she was or her history

Then like you say, Helen had 16 or whatver formal warnings covered up, any one of which could likely have seen her not only lose her pass, but get kicked out!

Too many ducks talking, walking, and talking like ducks for me.

The fact I've not seen very much of this series says it all.

I think the poll will be relevant as the week continues, so as of twist 1 (11am Tues morning):

Yes - 93 votes 75.00%

No - 14 votes 11.29%

Possibly - it's up there - 17 votes 13.71%

Rather than run a new poll every day (unless someone else wants to), if you change your mind please free to explain why on here

Yes. The whole point of BB is to involve the audience in the eviction each week. This sh!tshow only serves to alienate viewers.

Nothing tops the truly VILE (and yes I really said that - that "man" embodies all the qualities of a vile and truly selfish and reprehensible individual) CONOR and his actions throughout the series.

The fact that BB rewards the reprehensible and the horrible, the selfish and the combative; it all just makes me a bit sick.

It's something unexpected and I personally found that last night's episode was quite tense. It reminded me of that show Unanimous that was on C4 a few years ago. Not a fan of Jackson but I liked how he took control and steered it away from a snowball effect of just going with the crowd.

I love BBUS/CAN though so this was right up my street!

Yes!!!

For years people have been bleating on () about how contrived this is and the HM's are just a bad bunch of wannabe actors. etc. and even when I agree with that, there's usually something I can find to keep me watching this load of boil in the bag. However, last night it really was a say what you see moment and as such I had to switch off. I won't be bothering with it now until the zelebs move in.

I went for possibly. It is a terrible idea, excluding the public from the vote (when they may have parted with money to save their favourites) is flawed at best, unethical at worst. Furthermore, the producers know the dynamics of the house; they even had Lateysha spell out the dynamics last night, so they know who's most at risk in the house, but this often doesn't correlate with the public's perceptions so it does seem that this has been designed in efforts to save their favourites - not that they haven't done that in the past.

For me however, Helen is the lowest point, and exemplifies everything that is wrong with the production of Big Brother. To begin, someone getting a pass to the final should never happen, let alone give it to someone as monstrous as her. Her constant aggressive, bullying behaviour was tolerated without real repercussions (to think of the reasons they've ejected Andrew and Emma this series...). The suspicious circumstances in which she won and her later inclusion in the following series - terrible for the show in every way.

I put possibly - I feel quite strongly about the golden ticket that Helen got and any time the winnings are split (like with Aaron or Conor), especially out of the blue.

The worst for me is that I was really enjoying the series - I thought they were a good mixture of housemates, we were having DR noms in the traditional fashion, it was pootling along nicely - especially after Marco left. Then the task last week was idiotic and now this, it's ruined the rather good buzz I had about the series.

ETA: With the golden ticket - I would feel the same way whichever housemate got it. There seems little point in going on the show and never facing (the potential of) eviction.

I've missed two episodes, I'm catching up now, and I've just seen on the DAILYMAIL that Chelsea has gone? Wtf. I hate when they make housemates pick.

Can I just point out that Conor was not rewarded? The producers didn't say, 'Conor's a great Housemate, let's give him half the prize money!' The White Room twist was designed in a way that any Housemate could win up to that amount of money, and it just happened to be Conor in the end based on a pretty random set of circumstances.

Don't get me wrong, it was an awful twist which shouldn't have happened and Conor was a thoroughly odious personality who didn't deserve it, but it isn't accurate to say it was a reward for how he behaved. If Sara had won it, it would still have been an awful twist but no one would say she was rewarded because she was generally quite nice. The fact that the most unpleasant person benefitted from what was never a good idea in the first place was just adding insult to injury.
