Excellent points eloquently made, thank you everyone

I think it's important to remember that while the poll is overwhelming it's a reactionary snapshot to some extent, just like recent Doctor Who actors are often voted near the best of ever, and with further hindsight they tend to drop somewhat.

Still, people's immediate reactions will often lead them to make decisions about things they feel strongly about (e.g. 'that's it, I'm done with this series').

I think it'll be interesting to see how the 'twists' affect reception as the week goes on, and a new poll at the end will be interesting to compare.

It's also 'interesting' to note that BB's plans seem to be possibly changing somewhat already from what was said a few days ago...

I didn't watch the Conor series (and despite otherwise hearing good things about it because of how dreadful it sounds I won't ever catch up). So I voted 'yes' from othe events/controversies such as Helen Wood.

There was a twist this time They didn't have to write them down or pick photos this time in secret before revealing, they were just thrown in a room and told to get on with it. Major handbags could have resulted, but despite it being both cringeworthy and desperately unfair on Chelsea, it was handled quite diplomatically (even with Lateysha basically outlining what she thinks the pecking order should be ).

It is getting worse.
They still don't know what they are doing, whether to evict illegally, give immunity or have a mass producers resignation.
What a waste of time.

4 in, 4 out was brilliant.

Helen, anything related to Helen is just disgusting. I still don't understand how she even won that year, that was one of the worst BB's ever.

I didn't think 4 in, 4 out was brilliant. It's fine if you want to put in new Housemates to stir things up, but getting rid of so many people in one go so early in the series messes up the House dynamics to a point that it shouldn't. The dynamics of the House should change gradually, not all at once; otherwise it is chaos. I found it quite disrespectful to viewers who had spent those two weeks investing in those Housemates to just throw them out in a quick twist.

Besides, Emma basically admitted that it was done because the Housemates were getting on too well, which completely defeats the point of the programme. Each year should be different, because the dynamics of people vary so much, which is the whole appeal - when a new series starts, you never quite know what you're going to get because the way that people are going to react to each other in the House is unpredictable - sometimes it's a friendly series, sometimes it's a very hostile series and sometimes there are too many elements of both to call it. If the producers decide what sort of series they want and introduce twists to get rid of people who aren't fitting that storyboard, the whole purpose of the format is lost.

Helen was very beautiful and many many males thought so.

She needed to revise herself because she had many insecurities and projected negative, but all in all, beautiful.

4 in 4 out was much worse it terms of being unfair on the Housemates involved.

I wouldn't say beautiful in the same way that Deana Uppal is beautiful, but I'll admit that she had something. On the rare occasions that she smiled, I thought that she's quite pretty actually. But the fact that most of the time her face was contorted in an unpleasant sneer reduced her attractiveness significantly.

Has anyone seen the first series of The Great British Bake-Off? The runner-up was a woman called Ruth, who looked a bit like Helen and had a very similar accent to her, but was very pleasant and charming. Obviously that was before Helen's BB series, but it's weird watching it back. It's like Helen in a parallel universe.

I'm not sure about this because whilst I absolutely despised the twist the HMs had 'only' been in for a couple of weeks and we'd only voted to save one or two (?) of them.

This lot however, like them or loathe them, have given a lot, been through a lot, and between them been saved by the public a number of times. So for me BB is mocking us all to a greater extent.

That said this series was already such a mockery from the start, in some ways this nonsense is the next logical step. 4 in 4 out was the start of the absolute destruction of that series, which until then had seemed a refreshingly 'old school' BB in many ways and was for me shaping up to be a slow-burning classic after the abominable BB15.

Hmmm.

This series and the rushed end just highlights channel 5s lack of commitment to the programme as a whole and to the underlying principles that should permeat BB.
Very unsatisfactory.
The writing has been on the wall - i think the way they got rid of Sam last year was the most shoddy thing they have done but they are clearly a bunch of shoddy people who feel comfortable with shoddy.

It would seem like they improved the show in one manner whilst spooling it in a another way.

It was like chopping off the top of the candle whilst the bottom burns.

This was a very polite way of putting it and I very much agree.

A smile brings magic to a face and this was certainly true of Helen,

It may be on par with last years farce when they changed the voting for their chosen one last year, can't remember her name but she pretended to be 'just a normal girl' She was a horror.

BB are already sticking their big noses in by interfering with annihilation week , let the housemates decide who goes this week they said (what a load of BS), as long they don't put up any of BB producers favorites they'll come up with a twist to save them like they did with Andy by getting immunity from eviction STOP INTERFERING

Benbeez, we need to hope that the red faces are not your actual, because you will need to calm.

We just watch and take enjoyment.

Vile horrible show this time, with the worst people. It's shouty, ranty, boring, stupid...... Sick of Ryan's fat lips, Laura's soft chin, Jason and Charlie the middle aged couple acting like 15 year olds, annoying hughie who has SUCH an annoying voice, pathetic and annoying Andy, I could go on........

Keep Celebrity BB, but FGS bury the civilian one in a hole.

Is that even possible in it's current state ? I can't find a single thing to enjoy about it of late.

Not any man I have ever spoken to. And very beautiful?! Do me a favour! She's a munter of the highest order. Fake, plain, literally a 2 out of 10. Looks like a man in drag.

These are very powerful, negative words which is revealing and I think there have been many.

Would you post a picture of you for people to criticise? It would be the interesting factor and I'm sure you would not.

Be kinder to yourself. I think I have told this before. A daily ritual of insultive comments will make you sick. It is my job of study.

Yes she did - she was like an updated version of the boogeyman - so very good for parents to keep the kids in line.
