Ok, they're hardly going to be the stars of the show and take any leading storylines, they're also the most viable characters for the axe. But it's been nice seeing an elderly couple who (most of the time) are good, honest people. Personally I'd like to see them stick around as background/comedy characters. Lin Blakely and Roger Sloman also have great onscreen chemistry. I think I'm so fond of them because they mostly just remind me of my grandparents

No, I think they are horrible people and should be shipped off for Pam's sister to put up with them. Pam is a murderer and she doesn't respect anyones personal space, Les is a manipulative liar.

Axe them. I don't hate them, I just don't care for them.

I like them and think Pam is a great character. She reminds me a bit of Lyn Scully from Neighbours - a curtain twitching busy-body who is constantly thriving off gossip. Every soap needs a character like that.
