I think the letter is that ERIC MITCHELL IS ALIVE - that's why they mentioned him so much recently.

Certainly sounds like this is going to happen. Just think it's a bit bizarre though and what a way to shoehorn in this storyline! I can't see why Michelle would write to Peggy of alk people to reveal the parentage on her son when she's kept it a secret for so long. Doesn't make any sense. And sharon's seemingly meek reaction to the news is out of character also. She would be straight on the phone asking Michelle what the heck wasc going on. But no, she has to hop on a plane and physically go and see her. Considering neither she nor Phil are working at the mo and there's only Ben in the arches I can only imagine the small number of customers coming through the arches are paying them in gold bars for their service.

I don't think Sharon's found out about Mark's parentage through the letter. I think she's already known for years. How could Mark, Martin and Pauline know and she didn't? She and Michelle have been very close, like sisters. I think what was in the letter was Michelle telling Peggy about Mark and that she's about to tell him who his biological father is and what the circumstances were.

As the letter is off Michelle it has to be her telling Peggy the truth about her grandson. Michelle knew Peggy was dying so thought that it was an appropriate time to let her know that she had another grandson before she died. Sharon did not seem 'bothered' by it as I'm almost certain that she (and Mark Sr) already knew. The dilemma for Sharon is that should she tell Phil (and Grant). It is almost certain that if Peg received the letter before she died she would have told them but does Sharon have that right?

Well considering Sharon knew the letter was for Peggy and she thought she had the right to open the letter in the first place, instead of handing it over to Phil unopened then she won't be that bothered about thinking she has the right to tell them or not.

You could be on to something. It's not just that they have mentioned him a lot, but they have really focused on the effect he had on Phil. Could certainly be laying the groundwork for that.

However, there have been so many "back from the dead" characters lately, I don't know if I want this.
