Sharon Mitchell - landlady of The Vic?

What do we think of the idea of Sharon becoming landlady The Vic? They seem to be positioning her as the square's biggest matriarch, almost the next Peggy Mitchell, especially now she's at the head of the Mitchell family. It'd be great to see her re-visiting the history she has with the pub, putting the Mitchells back where they belong and perhaps seeing more of that independent side of Sharon? Thoughts?

Welcome Sam. She is working ok outside of the Vic but this sublimation of Sharon Watts into the Mitchell fold has done her no favours. If they carried that on in the Vic it would make no difference.

I want the Mitchell's back behind the bar. Give the Carters The Albert, get Phil and Sharon back as landlord and landlady of The Queen Vic, with Shirley, Roxy, Ronnie ect. working there too.

Her shoulders are too wide to get through the door

Sharon would be great as landlady of the Vic, she was brought up there after all, but what would happen to the Carters?

I'd like her to get away from the Mitchells, she keeps on marrying them! A nice new man would be in order. Of course it wouldn't last but would be interesting for a time.

Why I wouldn't be against the idea of her returning to the pub one day, it's not gonna be anytime soon I don't think.

Sharon's on a bit of iffy ground atm, the writing for her has not been spectacular, the Gavin storyline as well as her roundabout relationship with Phil has been tedious and uninteresting and not done her any favours, her rather relaxed attitude to big reveals well isn't Sharon and her involvement in the Max stitch up sucked balls.

I have liked the strength she has shown as a person, the 'matriarchal' qualities, however I'm not a fan of the Peggy-esq comparisons.

Now she no longer has the Albert, maybe her investing in Beales and running that with Ian might be a better idea for now.

I wouldn't mind seeing her behind the bar on a Regular basis.
