He was brought up in London. Doesn't he have a Scottish background, though?

Yes he does, and he identifies as Scottish so I suppose he is Scottish.

His dad was a Scot and his mum was English but the family lived in Scotland until after the first 4 kids were born, then they moved to London. Rod was baby number 5 and the only one of the siblings not to be born in Scotland.

Rod Stewart is actually English, but never mind Hughie.

Most definitely. He has Scots ancestry, so that can't be discounted. I did miss the argument, though. Was that what it was about, whether he is Scottish or not?

A lot of people are born here but have origins from another country. For example, my friend considers himself Spanish; he has Spanish parents but he was born here. Rod Stewart has described himself as Scottish, I am pretty sure of it.

It is funny, here people call me Italian, in Italy they call me English.

His real name was Embledink Humperbert, but he changed it to avoid being confused with Tom Jones

Actually, no. Hughie started talking about Rod Stewart and Ryan started henpecking him (for whatever reason he does it). Hughie returned the banter and Ryan took it seriously blah blah. But in his usual cold and calculated way, Andy said "tell us more about Rod Stewart" hoping for a negative reaction from Hughie.

even if Hughie did know Rod's life story, what is so embarassing about that?

Ryan is a cock and deserved to be ridiculed back by Hughie

He's an Englishman who wears a skirt and supports that team that lost to Lincoln Red Imps.

I prefer "the first Brittish team to win the European cup", but each to their own
