Corrie issued an official press release stating who the father was 2 weeks before we saw the conception. Which is ridiculous considering it was obviously directed to air a 'whodunnit' feell to the identity of Leanne's lover.

Michelle found out she was needed to be Sporty Spice in a tribute band on the Cruise so backed out and returned to Carla's flat. Mario told Amy who told Steve who talked Michelle into coming back to him the next day.

The day after Leanne's hook up.

As long as it means Leanne moving into the Rovers and Steve ditching Michelle and her leaving permanently I can put up with Leanne getting pregnant only after one shag with Steve.

If this turns out to be true, then I am giving up Corrie. How stupid. Why cant they just leave Shell and Steve alone. I was hoping it was going to be Robert. Makes me wonder whether soaps should have a two month break during summer months. This allows the cast to have a break and the script writers to think up original storylines. I don't think they would lose many viewers/ratings. The dire hard fans will always come back.

I think it was supposed to have happened in that weird scene the other week when a mystery person came to Leanne's door (who we didn't see, we only saw Leanne through his eyes) and she said something like "Oh, hi...", and then later on we saw said person just leaving - again unseen - presumably after having "done the deed"...

Yes, ridiculous! As I recall she looked up at someone at the door, smiled and said hello and then let him in. The other evening she wouldn't even let Nick in. And forgive me for asking, but how quickly would a pregnancy be confirmed? It only seemed like last week that the incident happened!

With modern pregnancy tests it can be confirmed as early as 8 days after conception if you use one of the very sensitive ones. Usually it's around 21 days from conception.

Not like it used to be when I was of that age, when we had to wait until the second period was missed before visiting a doctor for confirmation.

Let's be honest all potential dads aren't the best. Out of them all I wish it was Nick's. At least they have a connection and she has been a big support for him lately so it wouldn't be strange for them to have fallen into bed.
