Maybe the person who presses the button has to give it someone and that person also has to leave, but they can't say themselves.

Alex should press it if he's smart, now that he knows he's not anywhere near as popular with the public as he is in the house.

Agreed. Even the sound of his voice is a dull monotone, on the rare occasions when he does speak.
Jayne's instant thought was those in need. She's going to take it for charity, but hope she stays and evicts somebody as a consequence.

Oh just the same as Jack then last series ,pressing for 20 grand ,it coming out the prize fund ,but this time the person pressing leaves whereas Jack had to stay and walk round with it strapped to him at all times
