Just curious really.
It happened when someone at work returned their phone and it was one of our earlier issues: an iPhone 4S. Being used to a Nexus 6P (phablet of the highest order) I was like "oh my goodness it's so tiny! .... It's actually kind of cute..."
Then I couldn't stop thinking "well they've brought out that new SE model" and "maybe I'll get a 4S off eBay to play with". In the end after a day when I was carrying shopping with one hand and trying (and failing) to operate the Nexus with the other, I did the sensible thing in the middle and got a 5S off eBay to play with.
I love it. It's so nice being able to operate it with one hand, and to pop it in your pocket and not feel it. Having used an iPhone 6 before my two Nexii I thought the 5S would be a painful drop in performance but I'd say it performs better than the Nexus 5X did (not difficult though, to be fair - sometimes the 5X was fine, sometimes a slug could outperform it).
Don't know if I really feel like ditching Android so soon and going back to the straitjacket that iOS can be, but if there are no 4 inch Android handsets in future I might be tempted for the next upgrade to get the SE2, or whatever they decide to call it.
But then, I pick up my 6P after using the 5S for a bit and am blown away by the size and feel like I just entered the TARDIS. So who knows.
One's brilliant value for money though - £130 for a second hand 5S is a much better buy than similar money for a newer Moto G or the like IMO.
Oh, and the 5S battery life is really bad (at least if youre into things like Pokemon Go) but on the other hand it charges remarkably quickly. Apparently the SE is much better that way.
