Just saw an article in the Fail, saying Karen Hardy may be the new judge.
I read it too fast and didnt see the may word Nearly choked on my toast ! the thought of KH and her voice each week would be horrendous ( I know she knows her stuff but I cant cope with the screeching ) |

Just read this as well and can't really imagine she would seriously want to return after 10 years away. Probably just the tabloids thinking of names from the past and associating them with the position. Although I wonder if there would be people out there who would prefer Karen to Anton?

Karen does ITT every week when Strictly is on. She provides context to the judges scores and comments |

I don't really care who they have as judge as I no longer listen to the waffle, I watch the dancing and look at the scores, while avoiding anything the ditzy one may say. They have really spoilt strictly for me. Imo the wannabe presenter and unprofessional bickering judges took away all the fun. I still like the music and dancing.

For those who favour Anton, you have to remember he "bombed" as a game show host.
The BBC have long memories, I think he'll be considered now a bit too lightweight to be a judge. He's had his chance. I too skip through the judges attempts at self-promotion with their carefully rehearsed spontaneous remarks, containing elements of alliteration and onomatopoeia, none of them are that bright. |

I think it would be great to have someone fresh from the ballroom/dance world, possibly trained as a judge. However, finding someone who would pass the screen test to the screen is always tricky. |

Anton was clearly being groomed to take over from Brucie, but bombing as a game show host put paid to that. I don't think he would be a worse judge that those on the panel, but he lacks the gravitas needed to manage the transition from 'comedy performer/grandma's favourite' to judge. I also hate to think what the scriptwriters would put in his mouth.
