Sorry if there is already a similar thread.

I am looking for advice on removing a voicemail notification on the home screen on my Samsung S7 Edge when there is no voicemail. It's driving me crazy now. Googling seems bring up similar queries but none of the answers worked for me.

Any help greatly appreciated

It's a common bug. It's actually an issue with the network rather than the phone. They keep on sending the voicmail indication to the phone.

What you need to do is call the phone and leave a voicemail. If you then listen to right through and then delete it afterwards the notification usually goes away.

Usually calling your voicemail and it telling you there are no voicemails is enough for the notification to be cleared.

I did try that but it only worked when I actually left a message and then deleted it when asked.

Its odd because I get voicemail notification but when I ring voicemail I just get a voice telling me to set up my voicemail account - so how people manage to leave one is beyond me.
