I really hope he did. The whole reason he's in there is to build a better future. We talked about this situation many times before he went in and I urged him to take it. It's a game show, he's not there to make friends, he's there to win, and whilst making new friends is great it's shouldn't be the priority. Fingers crossed 😬

He's no different from any other Hm , money like that can be life changing ...good luck to whoever pressed the button only a fool wouldn't ...they had nothing to lose and 20k to gain .

That would shut him up at least ... he couldn't play Chairman Mao round the table anymore if he did that, and other people might finally get a say in what's going on

I take it you know him and know that he's the kind of person who would press?

Edit: You know, because for you types, money takes priority over friends?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but haven't you been in other threads having a go at Jason for being a game player because his behavior changed when his ex entered the house?

It's between Alex, Jason, Andy and Jackson. Lateysha or Hughie was evicted.

What about all that angst ridden drama about not pressing a button because it wasn't fair to take 10 points off other people ?

Surely a man of such principle would see that it's a helluva lot more 'unfair' to press a button to take 20 grand off the winner and evict someone single handedly in the process

I hope he took the money too!

I really thought he would be too much of a team player to press it, but let's see. I still think someone else did it.

I dont like jackson so i really don't want him to be 20 grand richer, I would prefer Jason to get the money

It's not just about 'taking the money' though, is it ?

It's about being willing to end another person's time in the house in order to take it

This will be the first time ever on BB that a housemate has chosen to evict another housemate for money

From the clip I've seen, the 'street' kid looks very animated as though he's about to mug someone. If I were one of the others, his body language would temp me to press that button.

Do you think they are in the house to make friends? No, they are in there to win the prize. And whilst it may not be nice to choose someone to evict it's going to happen regardless. The prize of 20k is going to go. So in this instance I hope it is my son

I don't imagine anyone pressing that button will win the show. Pressing it will lose them the show. I think Jackson is a potential winner. So if he does press it then its really that gamble of dropping a potential 80 grand for a guaranteed 20.

Very deal or no deal.

I'd take the 20k, no question, but then I wouldn't be expecting to win this type of competition.

The ones who don't take it are the interesting ones - i.e. they want (or expect) to win.

It's always a good little twist to throw in, and fair play to whoever takes the money, if that is what actually happens!

I'd be happy to see Jackson get the money too. Only thing is I think he has a very good chance of winning the entire thing but hitting the button he's unlikely to survive anymore culls. He may have done himself out of £60,000 but tbh £20,000 is not to be sniffed at and I'd be happy to take it and run.

I can't understand the mindset that hitting the button is some kind of heinous act. You would have to be a fool not to go for it. That money could make a huge difference to a lot of people and not only that you're also at risk of someone else hitting it and evicting you.

imo It's self preservation and common sense in a game show. It's not personal. They've known each other a matter of weeks - they aren't clearing the bank accounts of kith and kin!

Grantshel I'm sure you are very proud. Since Georgina's departure he has been coming into his own more and more. Can't believe him taking charge this week. He's been a brilliant HM. I'll never forget THAT DR entry.

Exactly this. I was just thinking I wouldn't question anyone attempting to take it but I would raise an eyebrow at anyone who didn't.

I'd have to assume they were either arrogant, not very bright or had misheard the rules.
