Lou Beale was the first matriarch of the square, her family has spiller across multiple generations and she has several descendants still around. In fact I don't think any soap character has had as many descendants as Lou. They are spread out across the globe too.

Her children

Lou had multiple children, the canon is not always clear. The two she was closest too, Pauline and Pete both died still relatively young. Her eldest daughter Maggie was still alive up to two years ago as she sent flowers for Lucy's death. Kenny emigrated to New Zealand after having an affair with his brothers wife.

Her Grandchildren

Mark Fowler died of HIV, Michelle emigrated to Florida, David could be anywhere, Elizabeth is in New Zealand, Maggies children are presumably in Ireland. Martin has moved back to the square while Ian has never left. Connor lived in Walford too for a short while.

Her Great Grandchildren

Bianca moved to Milton Keynes, Karen died in a car accident, Joe could be anywhere, Peter is travelling in New Zealand, Vicky is in Australia, Mark Jr is in Florida, Lucy is dead, Bobby is in Borstal. Mary lived in Walford for a short while. Rebecca lives in Walford with her mother (who is the half sister of Bianca, another of Lou's great grandchildren)

Her Great Great Grandchildren

Liam is in Germany, Tiff and Morgan are in Milton Keynes with their mother, Louie is in Walford with his mother who is dating his fathers half brother.


It's a shame that none of her relatives seem to take after her though Lucy Beale could have been like her if given half the chance.

It's looking likely that we will see Mark Jr but I hope more of her descendants return in the future (not the Flahertys though )

Hey Scrabbler I saw a Kylie Platt thread on page to and the user made a Bobby Beale one that looked good. It has a list of his relatives, I imagine they would be related to Lou Beale in some way or another?

Not necessarily. For instance Ben is Bobbys uncle, but Ben is not related to Lou other than the fact his mother was once married to Lou's son.

I really hope a secret child for Ian pops up at some point, or it is discovered that Lucy had a child in devon she put up for adoption, like maybe she never really had that abortion

I can imagine that David has children he doesn't know about, but I cannot imagine the same can be said for Ian. Did he have many girlfriends before Cindy? I know he tried it on with his stepsister, his half sister and his cousin but didn't get anywhere with any of them

Sarah Hills could turn up with Children she had with Joe Wicks. Although it would be a little weird that Petes grandson and Kathy's niece had children together

Not possible. Beale is an impotent, lying, drug dealing low life scumbag with severe erectile dysfunction and absolutely no friends. He couldn't father children even if he wanted to.

The thing with David having a child s that they wont likely be mixing much with Ian due to Ian's own lack of contact and relationship with David. He was in a relationship with Tina Hopkins before Elizabeth and lived together for a while (she was actually the girl he lost his virginity to if I remember) so its possible Ian has a 28 year old with their own family. Likewise, Mandy could have left with Ian's child- the son/daughter would be 4 now

Bianca is Lou's great-granddaughter- bianca's father is David Wicks who was Pete Beale's eldest son (and therefore, is Ian's half-brother)

I always found it a massive shame that Ian barely associated with his Jackson relatives when they were around, especially as Bianca and her lot are Beales by blood (a fact which Bianca too barely acknowledged except when she wanted money or a job)

David's was always certain, it was Simon who was the mystery. Though Pat eventually named Brian Wicks as the father, it could have been either him, Pete, Pete's brother Kenny or Den Watts

Cindy and Nick (think his name was Nick) werfen't together long enough for that they had one child who was Cindy.

I think a lot of people make that mistake but there has never been any on screen suggestion, even doubt that David wasn't Pete's. The marriage is supposed to have broken down to the extent that Pat started having affairs after hid birth.

I think that any potential relationship was soured by Ian discovering David was sleeping with Cindy only months after it became common knowledge that Bianca was David's. Remember that only Carol, David, Bianca and Alan knew for quite some time, probably about a year. IIRC, it came out during the holiday in Spain in the summer of 95 - or was it 94? Think it was 95 though.

I'm not saying Ian blamed david's kids, but he was in such a mess he probably didn't much care to build a close familial connection.

What is perhaps more surprising is how little interest Pauline showed in David and Bianca given that family was important to her and she was very close to Pete due to them being twins. But, i think it was just that they didn't have time to explore these connections with only 3 episodes a week when they were already involved in big storylines such as David and condys affair, him saving Franks business, Joe's illness and Pauline with reconciling with Arthur, Michelle and Marks traumas, Arthur going to Prison again, being cleared and then dying.

How much older is David then Ian? I find it hard to get around Ian and Bianca being different generations of a family when there must only be a few years between them

David is around seven years older than Ian.

If Ian has a few aunts and uncles alive then EE should use them. Maybe their children could move to Walford and we have an extention to the Beale's?

They do it with the Mitchells so I can't see why it would be unpopular.

Funny to think Kenny and Pete were brothers who both slept with Pat. David and Ian are half brothers and both slept with Cindy. Stephen and Peter are half brothers and they both slept with Lauren Talk about keeping it in the family.

I really cannot imagine any of Lous children suddenly turning up after all these years. The future of the Beales lies with the children/grandchildren of David, Martin, Michelle and Ian.

Aren't there enough once long lost relatives populating the Square. And with the relatively few families always pairing off with each other,nearly everyone is related to each other either by blood or marriage.
