I've never lived in the Big Brother house but I've never understood why they get so traumatised when someone gets evicted. They're not being taken round the back and shot.
I think it feels a lot more intense than it looks onscreen. If you're literally isolated from everyone but the people you're with, time seems to go a lot more slowly. You often hear Housemates say that a week feels like a month in there. In that environment, if someone you're close to is leaving, it really hurts knowing they won't be there anymore in the pressure cooker situation that you're in.
