Only downside is, several people who posted about this also said they saw her changing in and out of a Slitheen costume. Also, I'm sure the MI5 character is dead? |

The idea has already been introduced to viewers that information can be transmitted throught time, as demonstrated with Rose and Adam's telephone calls. So I would assume that video pictures could also be transmitted across time as well. So then you can get a future reality TV show watching events from the past. What I'm saying here is that the phone calls by Rose and Adam could be a simple plot device (much like the "meme" plot device) to get a certain idea across to viewers, so things make more sense in a future episode when the idea is reintroduced in a television game show. What do you think of this idea? Ah....the Tardis itself may be transmitting these pictures for the reality show. Maybe? Great ideas Alrightmate and Mr Watts. RTD has made no secret of his fascination with Big Brother and rather ironic that if your speculation turns out to be correct Big Brother will have already started again on CH4. Makes you wonder what the prize is for whoever wins... |

I am really looking forward to tomorrow night's episode - the Radio Times raves about it, saying "An extraordinary story told amidst ordinary circumstances... works equally well without the monsters."
Nothing less than I would have expected from Paul Cornell. I anticipate the forums will be buzzing tomorrow. |

Has the next series' story arc already started in this series do you think?
I'm wondering how much is being set up in this series. It would save time to set lots of things up as this story is being told in order to save time in the next series. Now the idead that Adam is the first Cybermen. As said before, there are a few things that would make this plausible. But I also remember something else... Cassandra, when mentioning humans branching out and mingling in the universe, mentioned "Digi-humans". "Digi-humans" could be Cybermen couldn't they?

I liked the Cybermen of old but towards the end they did lack the menace they once had so it would be an interesting way to reintroduce them and perhaps give the Cyber race a much darker, grittier edge. Slightly off topic for a second...if CE's Doctor always says fantastic I wonder what phrase David Tennants Doctor is going to delight/irritate (delete as applicable) us with. |

As long as we're not 'treated' to more Slitheen, I'm more than happy (although I do think we haven't seen the last of them.) I rather liked the thought of digi-humans as a race who'd evolved so far they had left their physical forms behind, much like the Vorlons from B5 - imagine the havoc such a race could cause by invading the internet or travelling via power lines - or even being able to transport themselves as a stream of information from place to place. I do like your Adam as the creator of the Cyberman race though - perhaps he feels outcast from the human race now he has his implant and creates other like himself. Maybe that's how it all starts... I don't think the destruction of Gallifrey will be resolved at the end of this series. Last edited by DenWatts : 13-05-2005 at 22:08. |

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Tennant just did an extended Rab C Nesbitt impression?

could fathers day be when the time line got altered by rose and that is why the doctor finds everything a bit off.
the creatures trailered could be correcting the timeline back and there for altering the events that happened previously |
