I've missed all this about Annette B returning. Are people sure that they didn't just see her filming for the stuff we've seen? It's not unusual to film scenes again during a run, or pick up shots that were missed for whatever reason?

The idea has already been introduced to viewers that information can be transmitted throught time, as demonstrated with Rose and Adam's telephone calls. So I would assume that video pictures could also be transmitted across time as well. So then you can get a future reality TV show watching events from the past.
What I'm saying here is that the phone calls by Rose and Adam could be a simple plot device (much like the "meme" plot device) to get a certain idea across to viewers, so things make more sense in a future episode when the idea is reintroduced in a television game show.
What do you think of this idea?

Ah....the Tardis itself may be transmitting these pictures for the reality show. Maybe?

Great ideas Alrightmate and Mr Watts. RTD has made no secret of his fascination with Big Brother and rather ironic that if your speculation turns out to be correct Big Brother will have already started again on CH4.

Makes you wonder what the prize is for whoever wins...

I also thought that Jimboc when it was first mentioned on the forums a few weeks back that AB was back doing pickup shots which is not unheard of. I don't have anything against AB, as think she is a great actress, so not averse to seeing her again but would rather it was as her MI5 counterpart rather than the farting Slitheen. Think there has been one too many farting gags this series as it is!

Poor Richard Wilson...I can' wait to find out why he looks like that...maybe he was wanting to develope some kind of gas mask you wouldn't have to worry about putting on if an air raid siren goes off...it's either already be part of you, or you twist your ear and your face opens up and out it comes.....maybe not..

I've been thinking about this since you posted it, and as much as I adored the Unquiet Dead, I don't think we will be seeing the Gelth return next week.

I did initially think we would, after seeing the gas-mask-wearing zombies in the series trailer, and thought the Gelth had found a way to stop themselves being 'drawn out' of dead bodies.

But everything I've read says that it's a virus developed by the Germans (or so we think.)

In fact, the whole thing has a feeling of 'the curse of Fenric' about it.

It was my impression that it was Max who was controlloing Suki at that moment. He had just said he was going to leave Max where he was while the place crumbled and Max would undoubtedly be p'ed off by that

It would be FANTASTIC if Fenric were involved. I would like to se those storylines tie up

I can think of at least two others who would agree with you on that.

And one slight amendment, if I may - it's "FANTASTIC "

I am really looking forward to tomorrow night's episode - the Radio Times raves about it, saying "An extraordinary story told amidst ordinary circumstances... works equally well without the monsters."

Nothing less than I would have expected from Paul Cornell.

I anticipate the forums will be buzzing tomorrow.

Has the next series' story arc already started in this series do you think?

I'm wondering how much is being set up in this series. It would save time to set lots of things up as this story is being told in order to save time in the next series.

Now the idead that Adam is the first Cybermen. As said before, there are a few things that would make this plausible.
But I also remember something else...

Cassandra, when mentioning humans branching out and mingling in the universe, mentioned "Digi-humans".

"Digi-humans" could be Cybermen couldn't they?

Very interesting point and could be possible. They did something very similar in Spooks where a storyarc was started in one series but wasn't concluded until the next.

Would certainly turn the whole concept of the Cybermen on it's head if they went down that avenue with Adam. I liked the Cybermen of old but towards the end they did lack the menace they once had so it would be an interesting way to reintroduce them and perhaps give the Cyber race a much darker, grittier edge.

Slightly off topic for a second...if CE's Doctor always says fantastic I wonder what phrase David Tennants Doctor is going to delight/irritate (delete as applicable) us with.

It would make sense to use some things planted in this series for the second series - such as seeing Adam again at a later date - in whatever form, whether it being at a later stage in his human life or indeed creating the cybermen race.

I'm also intrigued by Jabe's people - love to see them return.

As long as we're not 'treated' to more Slitheen, I'm more than happy (although I do think we haven't seen the last of them.)

I rather liked the thought of digi-humans as a race who'd evolved so far they had left their physical forms behind, much like the Vorlons from B5 - imagine the havoc such a race could cause by invading the internet or travelling via power lines - or even being able to transport themselves as a stream of information from place to place.

I do like your Adam as the creator of the Cyberman race though - perhaps he feels outcast from the human race now he has his implant and creates other like himself. Maybe that's how it all starts...

I don't think the destruction of Gallifrey will be resolved at the end of this series.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Tennant just did an extended Rab C Nesbitt impression?

Defeating the daleks with a bandaged head, string vest and rolled up Daily Record.

could fathers day be when the time line got altered by rose and that is why the doctor finds everything a bit off.

the creatures trailered could be correcting the timeline back and there for altering the events that happened previously

I was thinking if a cutting of Jabe still existed or her genetic material then perhaps she might not have to remain dead. I would like to see more of their race too. They had a certain beauty and grace about them but also some depth which wasn't fully explored...

I hate to say it, but I thought we were made of sterner stuff than that on this thread.

Are my weak attempts the best we can come up with?

(and if anyone suggests "Och no the Eye of Harmony cannae teck any more, Doctor" then they get thrown out of the nearest airlock)
