Interesting idea but poorly executed. It lacked the pace and direction again that other episodes had. Perhaps after the wonderful Dalek episode we were expecting even greater things. Had to vote only fair this week.

Ok, so practically all of the comments so far have been negative, yet 13 people have voted excellent.
Anyone want to try and defend their rating? |

Hmmm..I'm in two minds....good build up but bit of a rushed conclusion. Simon Pegg played his part well, I'm hoping he somehow survived, but I doubt it. I just had a feeling that Adam would only be involved for himself. After all, he'd been working for a power hungry meglomaniac like Henry Van Statten for a few years, something was bound to rub off.
Liked the mum clicking her fingers at the end, funny. Next week's trailer looked great, Rose trying to save her father, running past HERSELF after what seemed to be a failed rescue attempt, saving her father from dying when he was supposed to and therefore altering the timeline. Kinda reminded me of "Final Destination", with all those "death" winged creatures for some reason. |

I haven't watched the rest of the series but I watched this one because a housemate asked me to record it for him.
The special effects looked uncannily like the graphics in Doom 3. |

Interesting though that money was the theme of the story again. Another FM, 'Alrightmate' picked up on this a while ago as being one of the central themes that would be continued throughout this season and here we are again. I wonder if it is that knowledge, power, in whatever shape or form it takes, including money, corrupts all and that will be explored further in future stories. O dear! Did anyone just watch DW Confidential? RTD has just said that whoever installed the Jagrafess will be explored in a future episode. Groan!

The ideas were good, but there wasn't much of a story there. Very bog standard and average. I voted "fair" for the first time. For what Doctor Who is supposed to be, and the imapct it's supposed to make, this was poor. It's an episode such as this that isn't going to convince American TV networks to buy it. I thought the set design was ugly, messy and too cluttered too. The look of it was so jarring that I feel slightly queasy and have a slight headache. And that isn't a joke, it has genuinely given me a slight headache. And a lot of the acting didn't seem right. So Adam was Rose's boyfriend, but then she said not any more he isn't? When did this happen? That doesn't make sense. And that bit at the end between Rose and Adam where he asks her if he can go with her,...it just seemed a bit weird and didn't make much sense. And you can tell that it was written in the 80's. Because when they use that future cash credit thing, the woman says "That'll do nicely" Oh, hardy har har. Obviously a joke hinting toward the American Express commercials that were around in the 80's, and "That'll do nicely" was a big catchphrase. Obviously designed to be topical back then, and audiences would have pissed themselves at that line. But in 2005 the joke goes over most people's heads. I think they should have written it out maybe. The kids won't like this, and it would have just been plain boring for adults. I suppose it was watchable, and advances the story arc though. Simon Pegg was good, so was Chris. Rose was completley ignored and might as well have not been there. Bruno Langley wasn't too good. |

Actually I really liked that! Fun, camp-ish, Simon Pegg excellent as ever.... but oh dear. Surely we can now file "Bad Wolf" firmly under "RED HERRING"

The BBC are supposed to be making programmesfor the British, not permenantly looking over their shoulder to make sure things will sell to foreign stations. Nice if they do, but it shouldn't be a priority. |

Another excellent episode IMO. Really enjoyed last weeks Dalek one as well. I was beginning to worry after the awful Aliens of London 2 parter but the series seems to have picked up again.
Hope Simon Pegg comes back as I thought he was excellent.Shame he couldn't have played The Master. Although I suppose theirs always a chance. |

At the end Dr Who Confidential Russell T Davis said a later episode will explain how the episode 7 monster got to where he was on the ceiling.

good story but possibly a bit rushed and a bit messy. but as just seen on confidential, RTD says who installed the monster in the top of the satellite?....it will be answered later on!

I thought it was ok-Simon Pegg was the redeeming feature!
Generally I think the episodes that RTD writes are not as good as those by other script writers (bar #2) |

So it is next weeks story that is the episode featuring a "Back to the Future" storyline. Because the bit where they are looking at other versions of themselves from around the corner looks really good. And I guess that kills the theory some people had that the Doctor can't go back in time in his own timeline to change things more than once, if that's what he and Rose were doing there. |

I would assume that Bruno Langleys character is obviously "Bad Wolf". After his brains boost he will probably become the new bad guy (although likely played by an older actor). |
