Ah, so your thinking that the whole "Bad Wolf" thing is essentially a future reality TV show where The Doctor and Rose are the stars or two of the stars ?
Agreed. There have been too many references for it just to be a red herring and it is well known that makers of TV shows have and do put in little clues, sub plots and subtexts in such a way and it is usually only the more observant, or die hard viewer, who pick these things up.
They are also done in such a way that if the viewer doesn't pick them up they do not lose anything of the show but for those ones who do they are usually paid off with something. What that something is usually depends on the show and the writers, or, what the writers want the viewers to pick up on.
