And, was it my imagination, or were there less good 'one-liners'? Maybe I should watch it again and try to see if the script really was weaker compared to the excellent ones we've had before.

Still enjoyed it but nowhere near as much as last week's. I didn't even think it was as good as AOL/WW3 (they got my VGs) ...

I agree with much of what you say, but I don't agree in the part that I highlighted.

Because I blieve that as Russell T Davies is reflecting subject matter taken from real life events from the past few years, terrorists are probably going to feature at some point.

Episode 11: Boom Town.
Obviously money and greed looks to be a central theme again, but I also think that this episode will feature terrorists, or freedom fighters. Depends from which side you look a tthings from.

Boom Town...terrorists. What do you think?

The series should be gathering speed and heading towards a climactic finale, so I can really imagine freedom fighters fighting in a world where the masses are enslaved by being brainwashed by television.

A slight twist on your idea.

We saw BadWolfTV as a TV channel tonight.
We don't necessarily know that The Editor is dead (Uh-oh). But perhaps we will see him working for the entity that brought that alien in a future episode.

I still think we will see a reality TV show (we know they have mentioned Big Brother -esque episode later on)

We also know that Anne Robinson's VOICE is on the show.

Her catchphrase is "You are the weakest link - GOODBYE"

So, after all that blurb.

Yes there will be a reality show on BadWolfTV, it will be hosted by Anne Robinson, and when you get eliminated, you will BE ELIMINATED or EXTERMINATED, to the phrase "You are the weakest link - GOODBYE"

The Editor will have stolen the TARDIS to bring the doctor's mortal enemies in a final battle - and at the end, the doctor has to choose between his own life, Captain Jack, or his own, which would result in the PARTING OF THE WAYS?

Agree the Editor was great!!!! Why would a turban help? What was wrong with Langley's portrayal??? I don't pretend to know anything about acting (when I try it I always look like I'm in agony) but I didn't notice anything drastically wrong with it????

That's the exact same forum that was on the old www.bad-wolf.org site that someone found about two or three weeks ago. I seem to remember that it was traced to "some fan-boy in nottingham". Doesn't www.whoisdoctorwho.co.uk say Adam comes from Nottingham?

You've looked up the details for www.whoisdoctorwho.com, whereas the site with all the Bad Wolf crap is www.whoisdrwho.com - they are two completely different sites.

As per usual, you're probably going to be right. If the freedom fighters are going to feature in the future, then it's a good idea to introduce the concept now. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

A quick question though. Up to now, all the episode titles have been fairly accurate reflections of the general plot (which is why I suspect that Boom Town may not be a terrorist-related pun). This week's, however, didn't seem to relate. I do have a headache so perhaps I missed it, but why was it called 'The Long Game'?

OK, OK. I admit it. Maybe I was a bit rash in writing off the Bad Wolf thing so quickly tonight, maybe that line was actually a deliberate attempt to redirect us towards the whole thing. I just thought it was too obvious.

Have you noticed how "Clive" and "Adam Mitchell" are in the members' list?

Think it was called The Long Game because Satellite 5 had been in operation for 90 years, and they were playing a game with the humans.

Any performance by an actor has to convince the viewer that the character is "real".

The aim is to achieve what is known as suspension of disbelief - we know that it's a story, but we are so drawn into it that we believe (if only for a short time) in what we are viewing.

If a story is too preposterous, or the acting is not up to a standard (set by the individual viewer), then we withdraw from the story and begin to lose interest.

The character of Adam is supposed to be a bit of a schemer, whilst trying to convince the Doctor and Rose that he is an Ok kind of person. For some reason this fell "flat" IMHO. To be honest, Mr Langley seemed a little lost in places (like the scenes on level 16).

Luckily I enjoyed the rest of the story, so my attention didn't waver!

Just watched DWC that I recorded earlier. For a few minutes I was thinking that maybe Adam and Van Statten were one and the same person. I am more than likely wrong but there just seemed something about their lust for the stars that seemed to be the same.

Also did someone mention that there was a unknown female character being kept under wraps? We know that someone who The Doctor thought was long dead appears...Could this be The Rani? I apologise if anyone else has asked this already. There are far too many posts to go through now. I really can't understand why we can't have a dedicated Sci-Fi forum, when cr4p like reality TV has their own, and in some cases individual show forums.
