It's a ridiculous argument; so no surprise Tina Malone would agree with it. I haven't seen anyone on here agreeing with it though!

Is the entire annihilation twist stupid? Yes.

Should the housemates be able to ever evict each other? No. It should always be the public vote.

Was this unfair to Lateysha? Yes.

Was it unfair to Chelsea? Yes.

Was it unfair to the viewers? Yes.

Despite all of the above, was tonight's episode the best possible way this dumb twist could have gone? YES.

It was as fair as Sam being thrown out by the others last year. She was well on the way to winning. It's part of the game - Lateysha knew this when she went in.

As for what you say in bold - well in my book that would be a very good reason for ejecting her, and that is what Jason did. As for being popular in the house, there are at least 2 housemates that didn't get on with her / like her. I don't understand the tenor (not in your post, but generally) that Lateysha had some god given right to be in / stay in / win the thing. In my book, she was just another contestant.

Its a game of chance they all had an equal chance of going, didn't have any great opinion about her and feel there were others who are well liked in there that should have gone, I think the whole thing is good and stirring things up as has always been the case in Big Brother, hoping Alex, Ryan and Sam are the ones who get the least votes and interested to see who they vote to go out of them.

Yeah exactly. She's a deluded, self entitled, immature young woman who needs to look at herself and grow up. Not all of us celebrate the lowest common denominator behaviour. Unfortunately loud, brash, hypocritical, shallow and bulging with plastic surgery and ice white teeth, seems to be what many of the 'big brother' type people strive for these days, which had been encouraged by the likes of Helen Wood and that horrible lass last year winning (can't even remember her name - although she had massive self entitlement too.) Thankfully that episode will not repeat itself this year now.

Chelsea reacted to his eviction with grace and a damn sight more dignity than lateshya. I've never seen a housemate with such a bratty sense of entitlement. As for her using her single mother status to try and manipulate people. Words fail me.

It wasn't unfair at all. It was the most entertaining result possible.

It was harsh for anyone, but delicious at the same time. Those moments go down in BB history.

And her (and her posse) reaction in the house afterwards said it was the right decision. Not an ounce of grace or acceptance.

For the first time this series I am looking forward to watching this, She had her weeks of yelling/shouting and telling her gang what to think. The good old saying comes to mind...what goes around comes around...Well done Jason.

Thing is though, it's not the only path to riches, but for someone in Layteyshas position it's a pretty good one. In fact the more I think about it I don't think that the 100k )or however much it is now) is her ultimate and only goal for going on BB. It's a reasonably well trodden and legitimate path now even for getting a more respectable job on TV. Forget media studies, many new presenters who have done reality TV are doing quite nicely , BB fans to look no further than Rylan, and even those who don't quite reach the big time of This Morning (!) can look forward to making cash from sponsors and endorsements from magazines and their twitter followers.

So yeah she'd have been happy to have won, of course, but I think that Layteysha was really looking for more TV exposure and fame to extend her time in the spotlight because that's how she makes her money and as such she's probably more annoyed that this has cut that shorter than she would have liked and she feels that she missed out on eviction night.

Ironically though she may find that being part of of the most exciting and controversial part of a pretty lacklustre series has got everyone talking about her and trending on her beloved Twitter in a way she could only have never dreamed of in a normal fair eviction.

Some posters on this board have labelled me and others who liked this episode and what happened 'evil' and 'idiots' but just because it revived a bit of my waning interstest in the show and I get it, their fave has been evicted in a manipulated way and they're p*ssed off, fair enough and they'll miss watching her in it.

Still, they shouldn't be too worried about the injustice. Laytesha may have been one of the victims of BB hideous manipulations and Jasons dislike of her, but I can't find it in my cold heart heart to feel too sorry for her, 'skint single mum' or not. Because she'll reach her goals from this experience even easier now and she wasn't a housemate I liked but, fair enough, I say good luck to her. Her fans will be seeing and hearing about a lot more of her in future I'm sure.

I think that about sums it up for me (the whole post, not just the bit in bold). It was unfair on both Lateysha and Chelsea equally. The way they each took what happened is irrelevant, be it Chelsea's holier-than-thou posturing or Lateysha's self-entitled rant.

I haven't really known what to say because the whole situation goes against everything Big Brother used to be about.

Having said that, I choose to watch the show and, for what it is now, last night was a good twist. The best part of it being Evelyn and Laura suddenly stepping up and voicing very clear opinions on what's going on - a wonderful revelation!

It has paved the way for a clear Jackson win though, in my eyes - although I always thought he probably would anyway. That's not me wanting him to win, just that I always thought he probably would.

Don't see how as the rules applied to everyone. She has no entitlement to win over anyone else, so how can she have been shafted.

So as far as we saw, four hm's pushed the button.

They do seem to have it in their heads that some are more deserving than others.

It's always unfair when you go without a public vote. Furthermore in Lateysha's case she played a good game as far as is possible in this show...she was fairly popular in the house and, apparently, with the viewers (though not so much with me). BB is unfair in lots of ways.

That said, I didn't like her sense of entitlement. Also the smart move for her would have been to press the button herself. Same for the others who didn't press. Even if you are the type that objects in principle to grabbing part of the prize, it was surely almost inevitable that at least one person would...and then the prize fund goes down anyway and you're potentially going to be deprived of any chance to win the rest.

Yeah agree with all this. I think in the long run it'll benefit her massively with all the attention it's gotten her. Her along with Chelsea as well has got the advantage of saying "they were never evicted by the public"

I thought that the evicted housemates would at least have to go in the Other House and maybe fight amongst themselves for a place back with a public vote. It was good telly last night don't get me wrong but I do feel sorry for Chelsea and Lateysha to be evicted this way. Must be especially annoying for those that voted last week to evict someone so Chelsea was saved.

I don't believe it was unfair. What is unfair (IMO) is allowing someone to enter what is essentially a popularity contest with already 300k followers on the "outside". Having said that, had she kept her mouth shut and not insisted on bleating on and on about how popular she was, Jason may have gone down a different path last night. He did the right thing and he did it for the right reasons, and that reason is ...... its a game.
