How can you even say 'most' unless you know everyone in the retro scene?! Equally, how can you say i don't know enough people or they aren't being honest. Utter ridiculousness

or a proper megadrive one
![]() Or was thinking of getting a Retron but is there a way to play the games through HDMI without them looking terrible? Lack of original resolution was one thing about the Wii VC that annoyed me. |

Over the weekend it looked like Amazon's initial batch of pre-order stock had been bought up but they must've increased the numbers as more are available this morning...

I hope they get the emulation right, and is better than the Virtual Console versions which are dull and colours aren't as vibrant as the original.

Given that this is an official Nintendo product it should hopefully be an accurate emulation of the original and at least it will be legal and not have the problems of consoles like the Retron with it's use of other people's code without permission and ignoring the GPL.

I put a lot of that down the the screens we were using with the original gear, years ago. Old CRT monsters could be pretty saturated on the colour front.

Yup, like i said, the original is being played via RGB on an old CRT screen. Different monster at play altogether, there, compared to modern screens.
One thing that put me off buying the UK VC releases is a few of the games still run at 50Hz and not the original 60Hz versions, so video and sound is sped up and has black borders. The only way to get around this is to buy a NTSC Wii U. But i'm hoping the games on this Mini NES will be the 60Hz versions. |

The NES mini will have a CRT simulation mode, a 4:3 pillar box mode and a pixel perfect mode.
