I thought it was funny (seriously), hence my quote of "it's people's lives" and the

.
Remember, part of the discussion was sense of humor....I guess you don't get mine. That is fine and I don't get yours since eating food isn't funny unless it is like Mr. Creosote

I like him, I quite fancy him - but this is absolutely true.
It was obvious it was a turn of phrase.
People are getting very tetchy on here with those who don't follow the party line. Nothing new there!

I'm surprised that you are stereotyping the forum. Maybe stereotyping isn't the best or correct word....generalizations. This isn't meant as an insult or attack but true surprise since you provided that wonderful suggestion for the John Conner's documentary on Travelers. Now this may sound sanctimonious or like Andy (lol) but the forum is composed of individuals with varying opinions. I know you already know this

Now let me be a hypocrite and say I do understand and agree with what you are saying (maybe saying): group think, pack/mob mentality...etc. It's all Social Psychology 101.
As a viewer I didn't find the food stealing/eating funny or humorous but if I was a HM maybe I would have thought it was fun and maybe not. IDK
