We binge watched it over one day not getting to bed till gone 1am.
Loved it but big mistake. Firstly we should have spread it out over at least a few nights to enjoy the anticipation and secondly couldn't get to sleep after it for running over it in my mind. Brilliant show and can't recommend it enough. |

An absolutely fantastic series. The show was very gripping and extremely well cast.
I really hope this get's a 2nd season, it's one of the best shows this year. |

Did anyone else feel a bit sorry for Barb? Only her friend seemed to be bothered about her.

Brilliant show. Just finished it and the ending was satisfying and left you wanting more.
One of the best new shows to come out in recent times. |

Just finished it (started it yesterday). I loved it. It had a real 80s feel to it. I can't wait to see if it gets another series.

Absolutely amazing show. So much potential.
One of the best things to come out of TV since the 80s |

Really enjoyed it, the inspirations were obvious from ET to John Carpenter and Stephen King but very well done. Excellent soundtrack too, not just the original score but the licensed tracks as well. I think a second season is a cert.

She is a 44 year old chain smoking woman, she looks perfectly normal for her age.
I can't think of any, give me an example. All that was missing was the little blonde girl in pigtails who stared at the wall to say "they're here!", and the Matt Modine character to have a set of keys jangling from his belt like in ET. Spaced, American Horror Story, The Simpsons. |

I was just surfing through Netflix and decided to give this a go...glad I did, I like to watch at a pace and not all in one go, it gives me something to look forward to in the evenings.

Met Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) today, super nice girl!
Really, really hoping Netflix renew this already. I mean surely they have to after all the acclaim...right?

I thought everything about it was fantastic especially the performances from the young actors. I may not be an expert on the genre so I'm sure I missed a lot of the references (although you couldn't miss some of them) but as a child of the 80s it felt spot for the time period. Hopefully there will be a second season but perhaps with with a totally different cast and location. I'm sure to have more thoughts tomorrow but I need to sleep... |

Just finished watching this. Took me a couple of episodes to get into it but by the end I was in love with this show.
It did feel like a lot of things like The Goonies and Super 8 with the soundtrack of Tron, but it was a good mix and very enjoyable. Roll on season 2. |

me and my brother have just finished this in one sitting and i'm not sure it's a coincidence that he got a nose bleed immediately as the credits started to roll.

This was so incredibly brilliant. Absolutely right up my street. The child actors had the same energy and chemistry as the cast of Stand By Me. Just brilliant. I'm sure there will be a second series but it's going to feel a long time waiting for it!

Here's a good list of the questions raised (containers spoilers) http://time.com/4426157/10-questions...eds-to-answer/ The biggest mystery for me is how nobody, even her mother, seemed to noticed or care that Barb had gone missing. I'd love to see a second season but maybe with a different cast just like in Fargo. |

Thoroughly enjoyed this series, felt like watching an 80's Spielberg flick. I'm normally cynical of child actors but I thought the way they portrayed the characters was so convincing and authentic. I really just wanted to give Eleven a hug I felt such sympathy for her!
Speaking of Eleven, her backstory and psychological powers made me think of Kilgrave from Jessica Jones and her overall demenour and portrayal as a quiet lonely child reminded me of Victor from The Returned, the actress who played her was simply amazing. |
