Wont knock off Drake who's probably heading at least 30 weeks at number 1.

Very impressed by this. Not the direction I thought she'd be going in next. I don't love it yet, but its pleasant, modern and it might be a decent hit for her.

Sounds great. A very different direction for her. Hopefully it's a hit! It was already number 1 on US iTunes and the video should help once it's out. Although Katy did release her new one as well

Wow this song is AWFUL. I can't believe how bad she's become. Pretty Girls then this drivel.
Album 1 to 8 have been good but Work B*tch, Pretty Girls and Make Me have all been so terrible. ![]() I'm a sad Britney fan. |

Awful. Her voice is not appealing in this day and age of music.
To me she sounds like Ariana or Christina mimicking a Britney song. Prediction - 41 in charts (UK) |

I'm really enjoying the song. For me, it's the best lead single since Womanizer. The songs got a In The Zone/Blackout vibe to it which I've been desperate for since Blackout.

I hate the way most singers today mumble and swallow the lyrics. I couldn't make out a word. I wish singers would learn how to enunciate clearly.

Lean On by Major Lazer has a lot to answer for. Everyone seems to be going in that direction. That said this is better than 80% of Britney Jean, so i'm cool with it.

I like the production. Compared to her previous lead singles, I found Hold It Against Me and Work Bitch both absolutle ear aches. Overproduced to be honest.
It seems promising based on first listen. Shame she felt the need to "rent a rapper". Pointless and unneeded. It's not as if Britney can't sell a song on her own merit. |

I've downloaded it. Its good and Britney sounds great but I don't like the rap in it. All this rent a rapper stuff ruins songs IMO.

The musical rebirth of Britney Spears. "Make Me" sounds so sexy, moody and mature.. It definitely is Britney's least commercial sounding lead single release since probably 2001's "I'm A Slave 4 U" but it show's Britney's growth as an artist which is the most important thing. I've downloaded the song on iTunes now I'm awaiting the music video.

Agreed, or she could have at least chosen a good rapper, like Kid Ink, Tyga, Wayne or Wiz.

It's really bland I think. Doesn't jump out at me whereas Katy Perry's new song feels instantly good.

Incredibly bland, in one ear and out the other for me. I couldn't even stick it out to the end because as soon as the rent-a-rapper started that was it, I had to turn it off. I've been a Britney fan since 1999 but I've been really disappointed with her music of the past few years. Circus is her last album I really liked. There are a few songs I liked on Femme Fatale and about 2 on Britney Jean but that's it. I was hoping I'd like her new song but to me it's just incredibly boring. I hope there'll be some songs on her new album that I do like.
