His friend has probably been reluctant because he knows that Jason would be embarrassed to admit it. But seeing all the stick he is getting now has made him want to defend his friend, he probably knows Jason won't be happy though.

Exactly!! And Wainy84, Jason has not chosen to air his dirty washing in public, Charlie did. Jason has not commented publicly on what happened between him and Charlie during their relationship. He has only ever hinted that she has a bad temper and that was why he was so careful about how he was to her in the house. Charlie was the one who made nasty comments about Jason- that he was a cheater, a gameplayer, a liar and more! Odd that if he is all those things, that she was so desperate to win him back.

I have always been convinced that something like this happened. That is why he didn't want to talk about it in the house and why she tried to shut him up if she thought he was close to telling. Why he was protecting her I have no idea but he has always seemed a nice bloke to me so I guess he didn't want to shame her. I wish he had though and maybe the others wouldn't have taken her side all the time. She is a nasty spiteful woman and he is well shot of her.
