As in the house, nobody begrudged them going for the £5K it was the fact that they'd both been arguing that taking money from the prize fund was wrong the previous day that was the issue. The perceived hypocrisy of their actions.

Ryan's action was not hypocritical as he'd never argued that it was wrong to do it!

No one expects better from Ryan

Ryan only stuck up for Alex because he knew that he was going to do the same. Anyway, the footage shows that either Ryan heard wrongly or he's lying when he said that Alex was only talking about the £20,000. Alex said that he wouldn't like to take ANY money from the prize fund/from people.

I think it's likely because of the expectations - I don't think many people are surprised that Ryan would take the money.

Most people had higher expectations of Jackson and Alex to "do the right thing", from their previous behaviour, so there's more outrage when they go against that expectation. Similarly but on the contrary, I expected Laura to take the money, and feel a little bit more respect to her that she didn't.

No shock that Ryan went to the rich side , it was Alex and Jackson taking the moral high ground when Jason pressed the button for the 20K...the same 20K that Jackson went for and almost peed his pants when he thought he had won the 20K .
