A truly stunning, emotionally charged Rumba by Alijaz and Jeanette performed to John Barry's wonderfully romantic theme from Somewhere in Time, beatifully played by the superb BBC Concert Orchestra.

I agree, the new blonde Joanne Clifton was sensationally good - surely just too talented to be omitted from competing in the main Strictly show.

Outstanding camera work too, with lots of full length shots. The Strictly Prom was one the best concerts I'very seen in a long while. Hope it becomes a regular televised Prom event.

Karen and Kevin's paso doble and Katie and Alijaz's Viennese Waltz are both on YouTube now.

Oh I missed this, hope I can get on 'catchup'.

As a matter of interest, someone mentioned the Strictly cruises. I posted once that I was going on a Strictly Cruise. Never mentioned the cruise line so no advert there and my post was deleted. Why I wonder?

The Rumba by Aljaz and Janette was brilliantly excecuted and it touched the audience in a very deep way. I attended the Prom and even though Karen is my least favorite pro on Strictly I found that she has the demeanor for a strong dance like the Paso Doble and it showed. Joanne was very, very good, hopefully she will get the opportunity to show us more later this year, she looks much better as a blonde.

It is a shame we don't get to see more dances like these in the actual series, The orchestra and the dancers came together and gave us a brilliant show.

I totally agree. I wish Jason Gilkison would choreograph proper Pro routines for Strictly as he did here, rather than those endless 'pop video' Ensemble numbers. After all, it's the actual dancing that makes us all swoon and love the show.

Still not on YouTube is Janette & Aljaz's Charleston. Would love to have that one too please.

Not sure exactly what is involved, but apparently one of the Prom concerts is based around Strictly, with some of the Strictly pros taking part.

If anyone's interested, it's on Friday 22nd July, 8.30 pm. on BBC2.
I think you'll find it was BBC4 at 7.30 it was good though since I watched it
