Loss of COM7 from Rowridge on Viera TX-L37E30B
My TV has stopped being able to receive anything on channel 21, which carries the COM7 Freeview signal from Rowridge. The tuner in my PC can still pick up the missing services, so I think it's a problem with the TV. The other channels are OK, most significantly the other HD services, including the recently added Channel 5 HD.
Any ideas? I found a page that looks relevant, but I think that's referring to a problem that cropped up when COM7 was added, whereas my TV was receiving both OK until the last few days. |

Probably poor signal on all channels com 7 being the first one to fail. Check the signal strength on several channels using your TVs status page. Also check your aerial connection.
You might get a wider range of replies in the Freeview forum. |

I don't think it was a general loss of signal, the other channels were all good. It's resolved itself now, I don't know whether it was a spontaneous thing or because of what I did, which was finally work out how to remove the defunct analogue channels whose presence in the EPG had long been bugging me. Maybe one of those was on the same frequency as COM7, but if so I don't know why it took so long to start being a problem.
To remove them I had to press the TV button on the remote to switch to analogue mode (something which usually only happens by accident), which made the tuning menu switch to analogue mode too. |
