Hello,
I am trying to find out the service settings for a samsung plasma ps-42p4a (HD equiped) in order to try and improve the image; I am getting a lot of edge artifacts (coloured Cyan and magenta) when the image moves fast and I am wondering if there is anyway to alter that. I have gone into the service mode (info, menu, mute, power) but without any official setting I don't want to mes around with the enormous amounts of settings. I am getting this effect whether DNIe is on or off and only occasionnaly (i guess when the signal is not that compressed) do I get an acceptable signal.
Does anyone knows of anywhere I could get some technical info on this ? or is anyone having the same image problem with a Samsung plasma?
Henri

You answered it yourself with the last few words of your post.
There is nothing in the service menu to adjust which will improve a poorly compressed source.

Thanks for the reply.I was afraid this might be the answer. The problem, of course is that even expensive DVDs suffer from bad compression and the effect is much more visible. Oh well.
