Do you think Hughie will do better in the house and out of it without Ryan?

Better in screen, but I don't want him to win.

Team Jason.

I'm getting seriously fed up with Hughie wouldn't care if he left.

Much better. The annoyance has gone.

Hopefully better.

I always felt Ryan was dragging Hughie down, so this is the best thing that could have happened. Now we get to see Hughie without him.

I am looking forward to seeing Hughie without Ryan. Unlike Ryan, he does seem to have some nice qualities, which may be seen now.

I'm glad he is gone as I never liked him but I think Hughie is straight up and now without this fame hungry idiot gone, I think Hughie will be better off!

My problems with Hughie were nothing to do with Ryan. It was all Hughie.

He will be marginally less irritating. Marginally.

My soft spot for him has turned to granite.

I'm quite interested to see how he'll be without Ryan. I think we'll probably see an improvement in him, and hopefully less ranting and shouting!

Nah. He'll still overreact to everything and pick fights for nothing.

Do not see the appeal with Hughie at all

I hope so but even from the clips tonight he seems to be already obsessed over Jason. Bringing up how "bad" he was to Laura. Trying to get something going.

The oddball can molest the zebra on his own.

I held on to a wee soft spot for him because I LOVED him so much in the other house - had him down as a legendary HM but, wow, what a disappointment he turned out to be.

Occasionally mildly humorous but mostly either sour-faced, irritating or boringly repetitive banging on and on and on.

That sounds harsh - he's alright. That's it. Alright. Not a HM worthy of topping all the polls.

A few funny DR rants doesn't make a legendary HM. Ok but over rated.

Same here. I really like Hughie. Never could stand Ryan. I think Ryan gone can only help Hughie.

Be interesting to see if he becomes lovable pre-Ryan Hughie again

Yes, Ryan isn't the reason I don't like him either. I sort of liked him as an Other, but that dwindled fast. I just don't think he has any substance.

Yep, that's it. Take the funny other house rants out of it and there's nothing much there.

He hasn't been 'hilarious' for quite some time - no one else would have remained so popular based on so little. I honestly don't think he's a great HM at all.

In a series were a lot of us have changed our minds so rapidly on HMs depending on a given episode it's remarkable how he's maintained support.

Eta: I think a lot is down to his very strong start coupled with a lack of decent alternatives to support and people like to pick a mast to nail their colours to.

Yet there's only 17 posts on Hughie's AT!

54 on Evelyn's!!

Could be slightly more likeable but the damage is done for me personally and perhaps for a few others. He held his own and had considerable screen time prior to his storyline with Ryan though.

Because Hughie actually has support outside the AT...

It's funny people see different things with housemates, I personally like him because he seems extremely passionate about his beliefs and is one of the most honest housemates in there.
