Sure some of us have gone off him but I haven't seen much 'hate' toward him compared to divisive Jason and Andy.

The most that's been said by Hughie detractors is that they don't get the love, he's over rated or annoying.

And Laura isn't a big enough character so could survive a VTE.”

They need a VTS. It's the perfect opportunity to do a VTS double or even triple which could get rid of Sam, Alex (I believe that Alex on Friday was the hm close to the B3) but then that will sacrifice one of the girls.

But Hughie, Jason and Andy need to be intact as well as Jayne and Evelyn and it would be a fantastic final

Lol.

Although I think 'screams' is a little too exciting for Jason. I'd say Jason mumbles 4th place. Jason mumbles 4th place with the pained look of a paranoid, constipated tomato.

I definitely prefer VTS at this point. VTE means you lose big characters but tumbleweed characters remain.

Exactly.

But I'm certain VTE will be back this week

do you think maybe anyone with a nomination will be up? If so i can see quite a few of them being up for eviction.

I have this vague recollection that Rylan said it would be VTE.

That's much more like it

How does it mean one of those two will go?

You can't even be sure they'll be up, and if they aren't the only two up, why would one of them go? Unless they're not actually very popular, in which case they SHOULD go.

Why don't they just rig the whole thing, if the "rules" are supposed to set with such aims in mind.

There was a perfect opportunity for a VTS double last week. The public voted to save so I can't for the life of me see why the HMs didn't either. BB could easily have told them they had to choose one of the bottom 3 to save

Well, Queen Bee wad turfed out with great style by Jason. It was delicious watching her shrieking minions collapsing in utter disbelief.

Because VTE tends to get bigger characters out. Sam would have not been where he was if it was VTE.

Well for years I've always wanted VTS. They gave it to us for 2 years and then went back. Since BB14 I've always thought the last eviction before the final should be a VTS as we should be able to CHOOSE which HMS reach the final. Not 'not choose' who gets to the final.

If that makes sense.

I was hoping Sam or Laura would go. Sam preferably.

I hope we don't lose Jason or Hughie at this stage.

I hope not. They're more honest in the diary room, and I don't want to hear any more nominations starting with "I'm sorry, but....".

Ha hah ha, it was just awesomely tasty to watch.

At this point, Jason is popular with some viewers. But in terms of unpopularity, I'd say he's way ahead of any other housemate. With a vote to evict, he's toast. With a vote to save, he has a good chance of staying.

Unless Hughie does something big to dent his popularity he'll easily make the final. I'm confused by the opening post. Apologies if it's been explained, don't have the time to read the whole thread.

It makes sense up to a point.

But first Jason or Hughie or both have to be up. That hasn't happened yet, has it?

And if they are up, the only way it would be certain one of them will go is if they're the only ones up.

If someone else is up, they could be another big character. Or, even if they're not another big character, Hughie and Jason's supporters could vote that other HM out. (Think back to what happened in bb14 when Gina and Dexter were up again and again.)

I don't agree btw that "the last eviction before the final should be a VTS". That would be almost the same as opening the to-win vote a week early.

And though there's obviously something to the idea, I also think it's questionable that "VTE tends to get bigger characters out" to the extent that people seem to believe. It's the sort of belief that's subject to confirmation bias, and I don't think anyone's ever taken a proper look. There are plenty of example of big characters surviving in bb14, bb10, and other series, and of big character such as Brian in bb2 who avoided being up.
