She has got an annoying voice, it sounds so patronising every time she talks.

It has the same tone as somebody trying to explain something to you in everything she says.

I've generally kept my mouth shut on the forums about Laura and, if I am being honest, it's because of a sense of judgemental guilt on my part. So being open about it the situation for me is this... She entered the house with a VT claiming that whenever she walks into a room she knows she can have any man in it. Within the first week she was dancing about with her tits out, shagged an engaged man in just a few days and accompanied it with the most ridiculous porno sounding moaning I've heard outside of... Well... A porno...

...because I found Marco such an obnoxious character, plus the fact HE was the one who was engaged, not her, I did dislike him a lot more and was pleased he went before her. But as far as I was concerned she was a... Well... You know... The S word...

...never really came on here to say as such because I think it's one of thoughts that really should just stay in your head.

Since then, as the days and weeks ticked by, I've had to challenge that internally. I've found her to be nothing but a pleasant individual who goes out of her way to try and keep the peace and who has a tendency to voice a lot of the more sensible and down to earth takes on the happenings in the house. Most of which I've agreed with. Even the flack she's gotten from the crowd (heard by her twice) has presented me with one of the most genuine and admirable responses from a housemate I've seen. She's upset by it, but takes it in her stride, doesn't make a big crying song and dance about it but also doesn't get all "I don't care! **** you!" about it either.

She joins in with some of the bitching sessions with the others, but Is the only one who ever offers a counter-view to it as well. She's self depreciating and funny, quite bright and a tad vulnerable.

Basically she's a normal three dimensional human being who clearly deserves a lot more than a single label I put on her right from the start. I can't say the same about a lot of the others who haven't in any way challenged my initial assumption.

So... Yeah.... Laura.

I don't mind her at all and she was quite right to ignore Evelyn when she started her 'I'm just a socially inept delicate little butterfly' nonsense. Laura seems quite sane and balanced compared to most of them and copes with things pretty well. The Marco thing, well so what? Like it or not that is how a lot of young people these days behave - and I am in no way a young person!
