Nope they can't. Hence why I don't think he'll win.

I think the reason the polls aren't always reflective is because lots of older people (who aren't really likely to use the internet very much) are the ones with disposable income who vote a lot, the the polls probably represent a much younger segment of the audience.

My 90 year old Nan loves BB and votes all the times

I really don't think that'll affect him, he seems very popular everywhere

No but it didn't affect Paddy Doherty

I'm not sure the Irish vote would help as there is some resentment of Travellers there same as there is here from some people.

Do people think that people in Ireland are voting for Hughie just because he is Irish?

Regional votes always give HMs a hand. Don't know how strong the regional vote is this series, but it does sometimes make a difference.

I am irish and on irish forums people are pretty polarised about Hughie, some like him some don't (kind of same as here), Jason seems more popular. But as Ireland has 7% of the population of UK, I think its not enough to make a difference overall.

I've always maintained this. I call them the 'armchair' voters. I have a few family members like it. They love BB, always vote, but very seldom click on Internet polls. My 73 yr old mum for one doesn't even go on social media, but loves BB. Bless her

Her favourites are Jason and Jayne.

She informed this morning she voted for Jason 15 times last night, and Jayne 10. I was like ,

Haha.

It's odd though. My Dad watches it, my Mum doesn't (they are in their early 50s). My Dads fave is Evelyn (of course it is haha) and Hughie. My 65 year old Uncle watches it too even though he doesn't speak a lot of English (but he understands all of it) and is favourites are Jason, Jayne and Hughie. Both couldn't stand Ryan though.

Deana
Gina
Ashleigh
Joel
Callum
Tiffany

The ones who did:
Charlotte
Jim
Gary
James

The polls haven't got a civilian winner right since Aarons win in BB12.”

Pretty sure Sam was leading in the Tellymix poll the final few weeks in BB14

Gina was I'm positive. Sam was 2nd behind her and in front of Dexter. The only poll he was leading was the BB 24/7 one.

Lol

Hughie is another favourite, of my mum's pal. ( she's 74 ) Loves his accent and his eyes I think the 'oldies' like a bit more of BB than we give them credit for.

I don't know but that wasn't the reason behind my question. I knew in the past they couldn't vote and wondered if it had changed. That's all. I doubt many people vote for someone because they are Irish - or Welsh, Scottish or English come to that.

Am I the exception then? I am 74, am always on the Internet, spend far too much time on this forum, always vote in polls and vote many times to save a housemate I really like. I don't go to bingo or old people's clubs but do use Facebook and Twitter. I also teach older people how to use Skype, tablets, and computers etc. As I live on my own since my husband died 9 years ago, my computer is my lifeline

There were some ones we could have a vote in the past C4 era. But none recent that I know of.
BB & BBOTS are shown on our national stations (like Xfactor and I'm a celebrity)! But we can't vote .
Jason is more popular online on the main Irish reality tv forum. Hughie and Andy joint second.

There's a lot of prejudice against Travellers in Ireland so I doubt the Irish vote would help him even if we could vote.

That's brilliant. My mum wouldn't know where to blooming start, bless
She's one of these people who just never bothered when it all came about. My Dad does, and I'll tell him to show her Facebook photos ( he has Facebook too, but doesn't bother with Twitter ) I've posted or emails etc.

I'm at your age. I always imagined you to be much younger, you certainly 'sound' it. Im actually shocked lol, in a good way 😱😀👍

74 oh I thought you were younger too. Plenty of spirit in you. And why not.
