The little boy who cried when his rabbit died

Was I hearing things or did Kylie say this twice during last night's episodes?

I quite thought the second time she said it was David's first real clue that Kylie was entering terminal delirium .. his stuttered response seemed to indicate that he knew then that she was on her way.

She did say it twice, yes and David did have a started reaction the second time. It probably was an indication that her consciousness was slopping.

How did she even know this?

Then Keith Appleyard had him stuffed.

Married couples do talk about their pasts. Or Gail might have mentioned it. Again, Mum's tend to tell cute stories about their kids when they were children to their spouses.

I know stuff about my Husband's childhood, including pets. He does me as well.

Ok. It is your opinion
but, What did you want to see? A decapitation a head blown off etc Have you been spoiled watching silly horrory films like SAW etc?

The programme is a street in England...How would you react to a very bloody stabbing of a very beautiful young girl,, were it to happen in your street/avenue/square?

Presumably just a running private joke they'd had between themselves.

I remember Sarah mentioning it when she came back.

Yeah, I remember someone mentioning it either earlier this year or last year. They also mentioned how the bunny had had a taxidermy. I remember looking at my bunnies in horror.

Yes, it was mentioned by Sarah thinking about it.

I do remember barney being stuffed and i'm not sure David was thrilled about it either. Barney is not around now so i think he was buried in time!

I loved my dog, i love soft toys but the thought of my dog becoming a glorified stuffed toy. Yuck.

Sarah mentioned it and Kylie mentioned it recently too

There was something really Doctor Who about the way she kept using that line, especially on her death bed. I can't quite put my finger on what I mean but it reminded me of something you'd see in Doctor Who!

Yes, it was quite "Impossible Girl" or "Raggedy Man".

Oh here we go with the pointless lets transfer a 'fictional' situation into a what if it happened to you real life situation to try and do whatever these things are supposed to achieve by doing that, yawn, boring!

And you are right it is my opinion, like it or lump it.

I have to agree why do people do the "what if it happened to you?" nonsense, especially when it's something fictional like this.

Gotta agree. I thought the whole thing was overdone, down to Auntie Beeb-type lessons on 'How to break news of a murder in the family to a small child' from Gail.

And wise, no-longer-on-the-spectrum Roy saying to David 'You need to talk...' and withdrawing tactfully from the death scene...I know a lot of people thought this was great but I found it out of character and manipulative. Hope they're not going down the road of turning every tragedy into a virtue-signalling opportunity. That'd be too much like real life.

But then I can't stand 'snivel-acting' (characters delivering every line through snotty gulps and sobs) so I FF'd through most of the ep.

I find it hard to fathom what you want from a fictional production that purports to mirror everyday life. People feeling high emotion at times of great sadness and/or tragedy will usually be tearful and running with snot (as you so nicely put it), so if the soap characters didn't display similar emotions we wouldn't buy into the scenario being played out .. how could we?

I can only conclude, on the evidence before me alone, that you're a bit of a cold fish emotionally - no offense intended. Personally I like my TV dramas to grab me by the throat, to rip out my heart and stomp on it till I'm a blubbering wreck, so I guess we won't be sharing a pint down your local any time soon!

Don't worry Sepang, like everybody on the planet I've had my fair share of real life drama, and in none of those 'everyday life' situations have conversations carried on long past the point when human tear ducts dry up, throats get sore and heads start pounding.

Snivel acting is like watching kids fake cry, but if it breaks your heart, go for it
