Does anyone know what age Kylie is actually? Wika states she was born in August '87 but that would make her 29 and I thought she was the same as David which would be 24/25?

Max reacted in a manner that was incredibly realistic when children are being given devastating news. Children are too young to fully understand imo.

The scene was badly handled; Gail and Audrey should have been with David when Max was told. I think Max has been diagnosed with mild autism, so his reactions would not have been immediate. I was disturbed that the little girl, who plays Lily, was in the distressing scene; she is not old enough to understand that it was role-play and should have been filmed elsewhere and the clip inserted into the scene.

I remember being told that my dad had died and my sisters and I reacted very differently, but Max was similar to my youngest sister who was about the same age. My other sister cried while I was angry about everything. You can't predict how kids (or even adults) will react to the news of sudden deaths
I actually think Max is a fairly good actor compared to some of the kids on soaps |

It was a pretty pointless scene as the kids had no clue what was going on. If I remember correctly (I may be wrong) when Dev had to tell his kids that Sunita had died the camera panned away to another scene as it was something we didnt need to see.
Max knows what death is, his dad died just a few months ago, yet he didnt mention Callum. |

Let's not forget that this is fictional so to the actor who plays Max no one has actually died to him it's probably just a game of make believe.

To be fair, when accidents like this happen in real life it can be hard to believe they are gone. If someone is dying of cancer for example, the family have time to come to terms with it and prepare themselves for their loss. Poor Max only saw his mum a few hours before, most people don't expect 'oh today I'm going to lose my mum while she's out walking the streets in broad daylight and gonna get stabbed'. It was quite a shock for him. A lot of people don't grieve right away when someone dies suddenly and unexpectedly. It's hard to believe they are really gone as it happened so quick. So I suppose we could just say he was in shock. I did think it was abit down acted but then he is a kid so I'll let him off!
