1) Baby Daniel (ED)
2) Gennie Sharma (ED)
3) Kylie Platt (CS)
4) Danielle Jones (EE)
5) Donna Windsor (ED)
6) Hayley Cropper (CS)

What's yours?

Gennie's death in Emmerdale was awful. I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks. Truly harrowing and awfully sad leaving her young child behind.

Kylie's death wasn't sad in the slightest for me. She was killed in self defence when she tried to take the law into her own hands.

It was wasn't It, very disturbing to see her suffer like that, one of the most awful ways to go, I know what you mean even though It's fictional, sometimes It's hard to "switch off" after watching something like that, harrowing indeed.
EDIT - I've changed my mind, I'm swapping Kylie & Gennie in my list.

Just remembered another one. Tricia in Emmerdale when she was killed after the storm. I was definitely in tears at that one.

I agree.

Plus:
Arthur in Holby City.
Ernie Bishop in Coronation Street.

Kylie's is certainly up there but little Billy Platt & the stillborn Paul Connor have to be worth a mention!!
Going back further Ernie Bishop was tragic & Eileen Derbyshire gave a masterclass in emotional acting!!
Liam was the other that sticks in my mind but for those left behind rather than the character himself!!

Stan Odgen in Corrie. Poor old Hilda sobbing over his glasses.

Dennis Rickman in EE, purely as I thought Nigel Harman was phrowah!

Lisa Duckworth's death I seem to remember was quite grim. Knocked down by a motorist played by the same actor who later became the Reverend Ashley in Emmerdale! As I recall, like Kylie, she had also just been to the Rovers to buy a "posh bottle" to celebrate something with Des (possibly moving away from t'Street?)

Deffo Kylie

That broke my heart last night, and I NEVER cry usually. But last night was real tears! Think I ran out of Kleenex tbh. Sure I wasn't the only one tho, she was trending on social media! Ppl have good taste in characters!

Peggy's death was sad the way she looked at the pub for the final time then went home and killed herself

When Roy's wife Hayley killed herself to escape her pain that was sad too

Another one, Molly Dobbs in the tram crash rubble - made all the more desperate by Sally refusing to hold and comfort her in the light of her deathbed confession about her and Kevin. Well, that bit shocked me but I'm not getting into a debate about it as I already sparked one on another thread!

I see where you're coming from & it was very well acted but sadly didn't affect me as I had no affection for Molly as a character even before 'Molvin!!'
Ashley's on the same night was actually another that should be on my list!!

Aw, I loved Molly

Stan Odgen in Corrie. Poor old Hilda sobbing over his glasses.
I know it's blasphemous but I've never been mad on that scene, it just seems a bit too calculated to manipulate the emotions, particularly the very cumbersome way the camera pans in on Hilda's wedding ring as the credits roll; it's like "Yes, we get it..."

Saying that, if you've ever seen Jonathan Harvey's brilliant play Corrie!, it's rendered brilliantly in that, played to the strains of Abide With Me as background music, but a bit shorter too. I know that sounds massively mawkish but it worked for me.

Sarah Barnes in HO. Although I'm not sure if it was the saddest, it was the most harrowing for me. I remember just being in awe of that scene, especially as I wasn't sure who would die. Tragic but utterly brilliant.
