She wasn't talking about Sam. She was making the point that all three of them got boos, but the boos for herself were off the scale. Then Sam started inquiring further about his own crowd reaction and didn't like the answer he got, and it was he who turned it into a debate over how much or how little he got booed by saying but Alex said otherwise.
If Sam wasn't so self-absorbed he would have recognised that what Laura was actually saying to them was that the crowd booed her significantly more than they did anybody else.
In this respect Sam was completely selfish as he was more concerned about people saying something nice to him to coddle is own feelings rather than reassuring Laura whose sole point was that the crowd hated her, no one else.
