Derek Branning has to top the list for me. I hated that man so much, he seemed to dominate the show for no apparent reason. They messed with the characters history, from a sad single man who lived with his parents he turned into a gangster who had two children and everyone was scared of him.

I could never fathom, why Pat who mixed with the likes of Den Watts, Janine Butcher, Johnny Allen and Andy Hunter was so scared of him. Pat who could and would stand up to anybody was seen running away from this horrible man was bewildering.

His son was nearly as bad, the actor plucked from modelling in catalogues really needed elocution lessons.

I'd all of the DI Marcos and Ferrairas to the list. Wasn't a single member of either family who I could say I liked.

Vinny what's his face played by Bobby Davro and his silly son callum. Utter useless characters.
Tyler and Anthony are a given

I agree with all four of those. They really scrapped the barrel with bringing in Bobby Davro.

The millers were awful aswell..
Micky in particular. Dawn and Darren were ok mind.

I quite liked the Di Marcos. The Ferreiras may have been better had that storyline about them killing their dad be able to be played out.

Kelly wasn't very memorable either.

Ali Osman...dreadful actor.
Kevin Wicks.
Vinnie.
The Ferraira cousin, can't remember his name.
Lynn Slater.
Mr Bishop...Dot's love interest.
Derek.
Karin, who seduced Max.
That air hostess who had been married to Terry.
Pam Coker.
And the daddy of them all....Gavin.

AJ, the brother-in-law of Masood, just ridiculous. The rest of the family were good, why insert that fool?

Edit: Upon reflection he might have been Masood's brother. Whatever his purpose, lousy character and bad actor ..

Gavin was a complete flop.

The Ferrerias were dreadful, Joey, Vinnie & Callum Monks, Dexter Hartman, Sam James, Tyler & Anthony Moon, The Spraggans. Keith, Rosie & Mickey Miller, AJ and sadly Paul Coker.

Either Jake or Danny Moon - not the one who had a thing with Chrissie, the other one. He was such a pathetic whinger. I loved it when he got shot.

I took a hiatus from EE and completely missed the Ferreiras. I remember the plans for them were cocked up by a failed work permit or something and that is why it ended so badly.

Derek was so badly done. I hated Kat during the affair storyline and Jamie Foreman was clearly just ham-fistedly type cast because of his dad and that whole background. The daughter, Alice, was also awful. Possibly worse than Joey.

I hated Zsa Zsa, Actually, I hated everything about the E:20 set up. I eventually grew to really like Fatboy but not until the rest of that incarnation had gone.

Agree with all of these. Add Eddie Moon and his sons to the mix. I stopped watching then.

Aw poor Eddie. I could forgive him anything because I'd always had such a crush on David Essex. I would be equally forgiving of Meat Loaf if he turned up as Mark Jr's granddaddy.😀

I just remember him trying to chat up Carol shortly after she had lost her son on a miserable winter evening and thinking "Why am I watching this when finishing the ironing is looking more appealing!"

I would love Meat Loaf coming in as Mark's Grandad! Genius!

He could take over the karaoke and show the Carters how it's done. Actually he should take over the Vic!

Oh he was no actor, I remember saying that to Dan at the time, but he was sexy as hell in his prime…

Didn't you have a fab thread way back about famous faces who could be related to ee characters. I seem to remember having Debbie Harry down as Sharon's birth mum.

Sorry to go off topic S😉

I don't remember that but Debbie Harry would certainly explain Sharon's Dennis Dennis obsession!
