Its a clever way of avoiding having any of the Platt family go to jail.

Mind you David might go down at some point. Corrie loves a good prison story

I am guessing it will be case closed now as I can't see any of the Platts wanting Kylie to be remembered as a murderer.

Typical soap police ineptitude .. they never really dug very deep to establish who the perpetrator was; it was all too convenient to let Tony take the wrap once he'd died.

I wonder how things will pan out once Sarah hears about Kylie's demise. She's not in a good place right now and could so easily blab the truth, although in her mental state perhaps she wouldn't be believed.

It is an interesting thought though. I wonder if at some point in the future Corrie will revisit the storyline, especially when Max grows older. Will he discover somehow his mother was responsible for murdering his father, and the fact David and Sarah helped cover up the death?

Very unfair that the blame has been put on Tony.

Sarah will probably think Kylie was murdered by Callum

I was thinking that too. Or she will think it's karma or God getting payback and think she's next. (more excuses for randomly bumping into the randy Vicar).

I'm seriously considering pinning the whole thing on Max, that'll teach him a lesson.

The "investigation" was shambolic as usual and in real life, police would be wide alert to the fact that it was rather convenient that a dead man was being put in the frame by Todd and David. Their very first question would be whether the two of them were involved in the murder.

Any evidence against Tony was no more than circumstantial and there would be questions about why he would wish to hold onto the murder weapon and even carry on using it as part of his work.

And it is also unfair the character was sacrificed purely for this plot, and to also let Jason leave thinking his dad was a murderer.

I bet a dollar to a donut that vicar billy will be so guilt ridden he'll rat the whole Platt family out. This will give him a chance to visit them all in prison and ask them is everything okay, his favorite and only line on the show. At least he gets paid and that's the main thing.

Its a wonder people don't smell a rat. Tony spent the next few weeks after Callum's death trying to win Liz back (strange thing to be doing in the wake of a murder) but the bizarrest thing is that he supposedly "confessed" killing Callum to Todd, someone who he wasn't even related to and not to his son Jason, who he was really close to.

I'm rather annoyed that it appears Tony's name will not be cleared.

I can't stand a miscarriage of justice, even in a soap.

Then you must be furious that Tracy is still walking free, despite murdering someone and arson (Carla's flat leading to the death of Kal).

The only evidence that implicates Tony is Todd telling the police that Tony had confessed to the murder and the murder weapon showing up in his toolbag a few months later (even the latter makes no sense whatsoever.....who on earth would carry on doing renovation work using a murder weapon with the victim's blood on it?!)

Agreed. So let's start a justice for Tony and Jason campaign!
