Like I said on page 1, I could have sworn Sean knew before the London trip. Did he literally just find out he'd been dumped but not who it was for, can somebody remind me?

Sean suspected Billy and Todd were having an affair a few weeks ago because he saw them looking close and having a sneaky chat, but at the time they weren't together so they denied it and Sean was satisfied he was wrong.
I'm actually really glad they haven't made Todd/Billy an affair, I hope they develop them as a proper couple now.

I think it was a good idea to pack him off to London as Antony Cotton isn't capable of acting anything that calls for emotion or drama. If this was the real world of course one of his many friends would let him know what's going on before he comes back to spare him the shock but I expect we'll be subjected to a horrendous scene in which Sean gets home to find Billy at Eileen's house, gets the wrong end of the stick only to make the final pouty, arm foldy reveal even more excruciating.

As I think I've said before, if that is the way the director is directing, the director in question should be fired. Also, no director would come to shoot a scene and say "OK Antony, Sean is distraught, can you pout and fold your arms". They expect the actors to be able to express the emotions contained in the script. A lot of the cast are let down by poor writing, Antony Cotton is not one of them.

Neither can I. I hope they do it on-screen. It would be so disappointing if he finds out before he returns from London. I'd hate to to miss that OTT wide-eyed, open-mouthed, gasp of shock, followed by a 'How could you,' hissy bitch fit.
