Kylie or Carla: Who will you miss more on Corrie?

Coronation Street has lost two of its biggest stars in the last couple of months, with both Alison King and Paula Lane leaving their roles. There's no doubt these two ladies are fantastic actress's, and you could argue they have been the two biggest female characters in the show for a good few years now (Especially since the departures of Tina and Becky). Which character will you miss more and why?

For me, it would have to be Kylie, as I believe the character was given a much stronger exit, and wasn't as burned out by the time she left as Carla was. Carla was a great character, but I don't miss her, as she would have been better off leaving after the Tina storyline back in 2014, instead of going around in circles for 2 years.

Kylie without doubt. I've enjoyed the break from Carla since she's left.

How they contrast is that Kylie blossomed and became more versatile, but Carla more self-centred and a bit boring.

I liked Carla and was sad when I heard she was leaving..

But Kylie without a shadow of a doubt. Her and David have been my favourite couple since he bought her home from that cage I'm absolutely devastated they've killed her off

Kylie, absolutely 100% no contest!!!!

Carla was a spent force & I have no desire to see her return tbh!!

I'll miss Jason too, though he will probably come back at some point down the line!!

No brainer. Deffo Kylie

I never really liked Carla tbh. I never got why she had such a big fanbase, what was so good about her? I always liked Jason tho, hope he comes back!

But all I can say about Kylie is:

That's all I can manage

Kylie most definitely. Got fed up with Carla since 2012.

Kylie.

By the end Carla had run her course and become tiresome.

Do you think Kylie and Carla would still be in the show, if Blackburn was not producer

I doubt it, Paula especially has stated in the past that she didnt want to stay there forever and wanted to spend some time with her family and especially with her second pregnancy I think she would have left regardless.

Kylie had bags of potential left and her and David still had a lot of mileage. Carla was burned out by the time she left, the character needed a hiatus

Kylie definitely. I just never found the hype around Carla. I felt sorry for the actress for having such dreadful storylines - towards the end - I found myself fast-forwarding scenes that she was in so I'm ultimately glad she's gone.

I think Paula Lane is going to be a greater loss - but the street will go on.

Kylie.

Carla had just been too overused, pretty much since she first joined and it got increasingly repetitive. I did like her but I'd just got bored of "fall in love, do something to muck it up, have inappropriate/dangerous man become interested in her, her date them to take her mind off the man she really loved, them turn on her or her real love and go psychotic, get drunk, go to America, have problems at the factory, fall in love with man she can't have" rinse and repeat.

To be fair they did vary it a little bit with Nick and Robert (although you sill had the early problems of her getting with Mick as he was with Erica but it still felt like Groundhog Day and becoming Tracy's latest nemesis didn't help any.

Neither of them.

I miss Jason and St Stella, though.

Kylie 100%. I haven't missed Carla in the slightest. Horrible character with a very annoying voice! Kylie just seemed more likeable. And her absence will be a lot more noticeable than Carla as she's left a family behind who will all be grief stricken and will miss her terribly for a long time.

Hated Carla, but if I was forced to choose one it would be her. She was slightly more convincing.

Kylie, while Carla was as good character once, she became too repetitive while Kylie still had a future.

Kylie. Carla just became a bore. Constant self pity coupled with a nasty attitude. Kylie had more to give, however once they made her Callum's murderer it pretty much guaranteed the character would leave.

Kylie. Though Im not overly attached to either of them. Neither of them are hugely significant characters to the show (at least for me), but Kylie still had some mileage left in her and I liked her and David and their little family and think there was a lot of story left in them. Carla on the other hand was totally out of steam. There wasn't much left to do with her character anymore, she'd been so broken down from the powerful strong Carla who arrived on the show. It was better to put that overused character out of her misery.

Definitely Kylie.

I couldn't stand Carla and her helium voice, plus there was absolutely nowhere for her character to go - she was like the proverbial spare prick at a wedding - whereas Kylie had loads of potential.

I'm not looking forward to Kylie's funeral
