Whilst I appreciate it is still July and Summer has only just begun, I wanted to see what everyone thinks the big Autumn storylines will be this year, leading up to the major stories at Christmas and New Year. We usually have some indication by now I.e. Last year we had the Bobby stuff and Kathy's return which were both key Autumn or Christmas stories.

So far, I think Autumn storylines will involve new stories with SOC taking over. Max's return and revenge. Cora's return. Can't think of anything else.
No clue what they have planned for the festive season even though one of the writers recently posted on Twitter that they had started to plan. I can see either an ensemble Christmas (lots of storylines in one) or a Christmas similar to 2014 with one family dominating (2014 was Carter's).

They need to cancel Christmas, its always a complete disaster. You can bet your life the Mitchell's will be involved somehow.

The high quality Christmas episodes pretty much peaked back in 2007. It hasn't been near as good since.

I think Christmas will have a storyline which won't be hinted onscreen until September (when SOC's work is seen). At the moment I don't see any of the current storylines leading up to Christmas Day.

I feel like Max's return, Babe's exposed crimes and Lee/Whitney's wedding will occur this Winter but not on Christmas Day/New Year's. Jay, Dean (trial) and Donna's storylines will probably take a backseat.

Was Beale/Mitchell centric- Ian and Phil's car crash and Bobby finding out he killed Lucy

Clearly you have no sense of tradition if you've never smashed up your living room with a baseball bat because the sprouts are over cooked.

How did you manage to ruin the oven?!

Mitchell Christmas I think, Phil gets a new liver and he celebrates by having a swig of Christmas Champers and then promptly drops dead. It's obvious, this is the way EE works, a character can receive only a few moment of happiness before it all goes horribly wrong.

As I've said before, people arrive on there successful in life, good job/business, happily married, etc. By the time the year is up they're divorced and living on the streets bankrupt.
