My partner was 29 on the 29th (yes, really), and he's a Cold Feet addict..... I've never seen it, but he's got good taste in television so far (he's the 1 that introduced me to Suburban Shootout).....

Channel 5 is 20 years old next year, and Ben Frow has openly admitted looking at reviving classic Channel 5 shows.....

But that's the start point, the peak. It would be odd if the series got some of its best ever figures for a 10 years on slightly unnecessary and desperate revival, so you kind of think it's in the 6-7m bracket at absolute best.”

I'm predicting 5m live, 7m consolidated.

Anyone still wondering about why the BBC prioritises the Olympics so much and why so much of it is on BBC1:

w/e 21/08/16 was BBC1’s highest share since the London Olympics.

w/e 14/08/16 was BBC1’s 3rd highest share since the London Olympics.

NB. The 2nd highest share since the London Olympics was the week Murray won Wimbledon in 2013.

See link and adjust start date:

Didn't they show softcore porn movies at midnight on Fridays or Saturdays at the start?

A tradition to bring back for sure.

Sharks/tits/Hitler was the bedrock of their schedule for ages.

That Frow thinks they've ever had any "classic" shows is both worrying and hilarious at the same time.

I used to love watching Sunset Beach on FIVE. More for the announcer taking the piss before it aired though.

Thanks Ray.

Casualty gave a lift to Holby City, One Of Us is another BBC1 drama that can't keep viewers and a great start for the New York: America's Busiest City on BBC2.

One of Us is just too grim, and shouty Julie Graham is a very annoying actress.

Over a year late, but Channel 5 has finally managed to get Spike on Virgin TV.

That can't hurt the chances of Battlebots getting off to a good start on Sunday.

She seems to be the kiss of death for any programme. Perhaps directors need to stop hiring her. Also does it have the ABBA song as theme tune?

Julie Graham has killed more shows than a channel Controller.

Fantastic night for BBC2. I watched from 8pm til 10.30pm. More of Inside The Factory please.

ITV really should be looking to BBC2 for insipration on factual. More often than not, BBC2 success in factual is frequent.

Also I don't know about anyone else, but ITV doing badly on Tuesday is getting so boring. A drams starting last night would have been ideal. One Of Us on BBC1 not doing well, ITV could have taken advantage.

They cannot keep scheduling nothing but flimsy factual on Tuesday, its just weakening the schedule. At some point they need to put a drama at 9pm.

Let's hope Moffat casts her in Dr Who!

I still bear the scars from enduring her godwafulness in Survivors. Her agent is clearly a skilled man if he can keep getting her paid work.

Factual helped turn Channel 4 around. Brought viewers to the channel better than all the other genres but brought ratings up while they looked for drama hits. BBC2 has had some good factual recently. Inside The Factory and Full Steam Ahead have been the best.

ITV have enough drama that they could do Monday to Friday. I think BBC1 should be having more drama on Monday. Too much factual and not enough entertainment.

I nominate The Mole - presented by Glenn Hugill (DOND Banker etc...) - just 2 series and it was first class. I would also have suggested Topranko presented by the late great Anthony H. Wilson if Pointless hadn't made more of the format.

I can't believe Ch5 is 20years old. It feels like its been here longer than that. I'm 24, but its difficult to think Ch5 not actually being that old at all.

Some would say Moffat managed that on his own!

Julie Graham really hasn't had much luck with shows she has been in.
