Rookies got 2m (10.2%) which is obviously very poor, but is up nearly 50% on last week.

What do you think ITV should be doing with Tuesday's?

Personally I think they have filled this slot with flimsy factual for so long that viewers don't even bother to try out anything ITV show her anymore. And the longer they leave it, the worse it will get.

They need something eye-catching, an audience puller. Some factual series at 8pm which appeals to larger audiences, much like BBC2 Inside The Factory, or some travelogue.

9pm needs a drama to get viewers watching ITV again. Something safe like a crime drama should slot in here. I think I would have tried out DCI Banks here. Its a drama that if it does do poorly ITV can afford to loose, but it also still has name recignition. Its not a new drama, so viewers know what to expect.

Lack of comedy.

I'm not surpised BBC1 revived thes four comedies. They are in desperate need of more hits and this is the only way to get viewers.

I'd rather have no comedy than bad comedy that just ticks a box.

There are many talented Asian people on TV. Give them a show instead.

Scott and Bailey seems like prime Tuesday material which they could've built the night round, but ITV canned it. Midsomer Murders could probably do well on Tuesdays, even its repeats rate well on the multichannels.

That did as badly as I expected, putting a programme like that in a 10.30pm-11.30pm slot was a stupid thing to do, if they didn't have confidence in it going out at 9pm then it would fit an 8pm slot much better.

I loved The Mole - in fact it was something my entire family watched, which was rare.

They did it for a reason, possibly to raise the slot average after not giving Impractical Jokers a chance to properly bed in.

Adil Ray is a very clever and funny man. I'm shocked this poor sitcom has come from him. It's awful. It hasn't grown in the ratings, BBC1 tried it at 9pm where it didn't do well then bunged it opposite Corrie where those ratings look respectable. It will never be a big hit, you can't build a schedule around it at Christmas. It's on air because it has an Asian in it. Goodness Gracious Me is light-years ahead of Citizen Khan in terms of humour and invention.

Citizen Khan isn't a successful sitcom by any stretch of the imagination. Other BBC1 sitcoms with similar ratings were axed.

I think if they kept Impractical Jokers in that slot, they would end up with so few viewers, the show would become part of the wallpaper.

I think in this instance, moving it was a good choice. It was doing really badly.

Yes, I think Adil Ray as a comedian is very funny. He is observational and intelligent with the way he puts his views across. I'm not for a minute saying he has no talent. But Citizen Khan is more ridiculous than the God-awful Father Figure - which had potential but was executed poorly - yet the latter got axed after just one series.

Agreed, I think part of the problem was that they replaced the last lot that attempted it when they were actually better.

The key feature here, is that the Hotel Inspector has ot the same share as the White House series. Suggesting that if Ch5 swapped these around, its likely that Hotel Inspector might have done better (i.e.over 1m)

It does seem recently that Ch5 are badly scheduling their programmes, but also most new programming rates averagly, drops then gets shunted to graveyard slot. It seems that Ch5 have to work even harder to find hits than that of BBC, ITV even Ch4.

The radio version of Father Figure was excellent. I had high hopes for the TV version but it was poor.

Citizen Khan isn't getting these series on the merits of its ratings.

I didn't spot it. 28 day consolidated should get it a bit more than that.
